Alex has been with theKFORDgroup since August of 2011 after working as an intern for three months. Now a Tax Manager and CPA, Alex has over 10 years of experience in public accounting with his primary focus in income tax compliance, research, and consulting for both small businesses and individuals.
Alex double majored with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Texas Lutheran University. He is an alumni member of the professional business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi and has also obtained the rank of Eagle Scout.
Although Alex is originally from Houston, he fell in love with San Antonio while attending school at TLU. On his time off, he enjoys hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle through the hill country, but most of all, spending time with friends and family.
Amanda joined theKFORDgroup as a Senior Tax Accountant in June of 2023. She entered the world of tax almost 10 years ago and has several years of full-service public accounting experience for small to medium-sized businesses including bookkeeping, payroll, personal and business tax planning, preparation, and advising.
Amanda obtained a Bachelor Business Administration in both Accounting and Data Analytics from St. Mary's University in 2019. She is currently working on obtaining her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential and stays up to date on tax updates and changes to best optimize financial strategies for our clients. She also plans to merge her Data Analytics experience and provide additional services for our clients in the future.
When not in the office, Amanda spends time with her family, friends, her dog, Asuma, and two children, Sebastian, and Serenity. She loves finding events to enjoy together, being outdoors, reading, watching her favorite series, playing video games, and especially attending live music concerts.
Amy joined theKFORDgroup in February 2018 as an associate in the tax department. She has 9 years of accounting experience, which include 6 years of service in the United States Air Force. Amy has worked in all areas of taxation to include individual, trust, partnership, and corporate income tax. In addition to her responsibilities in the tax department, she also assists clients with QuickBooks setup and training, bookkeeping, and payroll.
Amy graduated cum laude from The University of the Incarnate Word with a Bachelors of Business Administration and Master of Science degree in Accounting in 2009.
At home, Amy and her husband, Thomas, enjoy as much time together as possible, while being parents of 5 children, Katherine, Victor, Thomas IV, James, and William. In her spare time Amy enjoys doing jigsaw puzzles, brainteasers, and other brain stimulating tasks.
Ashley Markgraf joined theKFORDgroup in December 2019. She is in charge of the front desk as well as maintaining the company website, social media sites, company newsletters, mail and many other administration duties for the company. She strives to create a warm and welcoming environment for any clients visiting theKFORDgroup. She has over 6 years of front desk/administrative experience in dance education, home insurance, and now accounting.
She is originally from Boerne, TX. After graduating from Abilene Christian University in 2013 with a BFA in Musical Theatre, she took her talents to Dallas, where she resided for 6 years. Whilst in Dallas, she performed in numerous productions all over the DFW area as well as taught line dancing and team building for corporate events. She ran the front desk at a prestigious dance studio, Preston Center Dance, and was involved in teaching classes to students aged 2-6. She also helped to establish the very first group of students from Preston Center Dance to be taken to the Junior Theatre Festival held annually in Atlanta, GA and Sacramento, CA.
She moved back to San Antonio in March of 2019 and ran the front desk at a claims service before taking the Front Desk/Admin position at theKFORDgroup. She has appeared in multiple productions at the Woodlawn Theatre and The Public Theatre of San Antonio. She is very happy to be with theKFORDgroup and cannot wait to see what the future holds!
Cindy joined theKFORDgroup in 2011 as a Tax Manager. She has worked in tax and accounting for more than 25 years including employment by public accounting firms, large corporations, and non-profit organizations as well as being self-employed.
Her main areas of experience are tax compliance, QuickBooks consulting, tax research and tax planning. She enjoys working with individuals, families and small businesses to help them achieve their financial goals. This includes business structure planning and fulfilling the role of controller for businesses that do not have one.
Cindy graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Afterward, she returned to Houston, where she lived as a child, but quickly moved to San Antonio and the Hill Country, which she feels is her true home.
Cindy and her husband, Chuck, are the proud parents of Cydney, a recent graduate of St. Edwards University with a degree in social work, and Connor, who works with his father in the family business.
When not at the office, Cindy's favorite ways to spend time are enjoying nature, reading and serving God. She is the treasurer of her church and is a member of the prayer team and benevolence ministry.

Irma joined theKFORDgroup in 2021 as a Senior Tax Accountant. She has over 20 years' experience working with publicly traded companies, public accounting firms and as a controller for a real estate management company. Her focus is in the areas of busines and individual taxation, estate, gift and trusts taxation and financial accounting and reporting.
Irma enjoys working with closely held business, and other entities to achieve their goals and works to build strong client relationships.
Irma graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Accounting from the University of Texas at El Paso. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) and the San Antonio Chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs. She also a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and the San Antonio Estate Planning Council.
During her spare time, Irma enjoys jogging, exercising, and spending time with her husband and traveling to Austin to visit their son and family. And Irma will never turn down anything dark chocolate!
Jennifer joined theKFORDgroup at the end of 2012. She is currently the Director of Litigation Support. She has over 25 years of experience in accounting, tax, and business valuation. Her experience includes tax compliance, tax research and planning, business consulting, business valuation and litigation support. She enjoys helping individuals and companies gain a clearer picture of their financial situation so that long-term goals can be planned and achieved.
Jennifer graduated from the University of North Texas with a BS in Accounting. She is a CPA, Certified in Financial Forensics and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts. She is qualified to perform valuations of businesses for estate planning, litigation support, and succession planning purposes.
Jennifer grew up in Arkansas and moved to Texas after marrying her husband, Bryan. They are proud parents of their son, Nathan, who is finishing his bachelor's degree in Communications at the University of Texas at San Antonio and their daughter Erica, who graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor's degree in Interior Design. Jennifer enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening, and watching sports, especially the Spurs.

Kimberly C. Ford is president of theKFORDgroup, a leading CPA firm. She has served as a leader in the field of taxation for more than 30 years. Her areas of experience include tax, accounting, financial and estate planning. She provides direct financial counsel to business owners across South Texas, assisting them in making crucial decisions for success. In addition to her designation as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Kim is also a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF), both of which are awarded by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts. She performs business valuations and forensic investigations while working closely with attorneys to analyze complex financial situations and provide testimony in the courtroom.
Kim has been recognized by various organizations over the years. The San Antonio Business Journal recognized her dedication and commitment to San Antonio with its prestigious Women's Leadership Award in Volunteer Leadership. She also received the Small Business Leaders Award for Business Achievement from the North San Antonio Chamber. For her community service, the San Antonio Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners saluted Kim with the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award. Kim was honored when she was invited to participate in a White House round table in 2012 to discuss the impending fiscal cliff with advisors to President Obama.

Margaret Wallace, CPA has more than twenty-five years of public accounting experience as well as two years of industry experience with a Fortune 500 company. Margaret's practice primarily focuses on income, estate, and gift tax compliance and planning for individuals and their families, trusts, closely held businesses structured as partnerships or S corporations, and non-profit Private Foundations primarily engaged in the professional services, real estate, retail, oil & gas, and wholesale distribution industries.
Margaret is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of CPAs, and the San Antonio Estate Planner's Council. She graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University in College Station with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting.
When Margaret is not working, she loves spending time with her husband and three children, walking and being outdoors, reading, watching movies, or playing any type of card or board game.
Savanah joined theKFORDgroup in June 2023. She has 2 years of telecommunications accounting experience, and an additional 2 years of bookkeeping experience. Her primary duties will be bookkeeping, payroll and assisting clients with QuickBooks.
Savanah graduated from Cameron University with an Associates in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2019. While attending, she participated in the school's Accounting Club which included opportunities to assist in the community, volunteer with organizations such as the Salvation Army, raising funds and gathering donated supplies for schools in underdeveloped countries.
With her husband, Dakota and their two dogs, Jasper and Paris, Savanah moved here to be closer to their family in Texas. Outside of the office, Savanah enjoys family dinners on Sunday and enjoying the beautiful sights of San Antonio Texas.
Shannon joined theKFORDgroup in September of 2014 as Executive Assistant to Kim Ford and Assistant to the Forensics Accounting Team. Her responsibilities include coordinating meetings, managing travel and event arrangements for the firm, conducting research, assisting the administrative team and ensuring that all clients receive the very highest level of service from theKFORDgroup.
Shannon is a San Antonio native and received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Her dedication to providing the utmost in service for each and every client is exceptional. Shannon draws on a wealth of experience that includes ten years of restaurant management, eight years in the consumer package goods industry and three years in data security management.
Outside of the office, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband Andy and their sons Jack and Michael. She is an accomplished runner and has completed four full marathons and many half-marathons. In addition to exercising, Shannon enjoys watching her boys play soccer every weekend and spending time with her friends.
Tracey is a highly experienced CPA and Certified Financial Planner who joined the team at theKFORDgroup in July 2013 as a Tax Manager. Her background includes 25 years working with both local and national firms, as well as several years with a large corporation.
Tracey's expertise is concentrated in tax compliance and planning with a wide range of knowledge in both areas. She enjoys working with all types of entities including individuals, businesses, trusts, estates, and not for profit foundations. As both a CPA and Certified Financial Planner, Tracey enjoys working with her clients to achieve their short term goals and their goals for the future.
Tracey graduated from St. Edward's University with magna cum laude honors and a BS in Accounting.
Although not born here, Tracey was raised in San Antonio and considers herself a true Texan. She met her husband Dave over twenty years ago. They are the proud parents of 4 four-legged children. In her spare time, Tracey enjoys golfing, cooking, reading and spending time with her family.
Valerie joined theKFORDgroup in January 2021 as the Director of Office Operations. Her responsibilities include the oversight of the firm's operations and strategic goals as well as monitoring the day-to-day running of the business to ensure smooth progress at all levels.
A born Texan, she graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing/Management. Valerie has 20 years of experience in managing an accounting firm in Houston, TX. Her background provides support to theKFORDgroup team to enhance client satisfaction at all levels.
Away from the office, Valerie enjoys hiking, traveling to Colorado and helping her daughter with her wedding and event planning business. She is the proud mother of Julia who is married to Jacob and lives in Houston, Russell who lives in Lubbock, and Buddy, a rescue dog.
