David Taylor - Chairman

David Taylor CBE is one of the country's leading exponents of urban regeneration, Green and Renewable Energy working extensively within the public, private and voluntary sectors. Recently David was a board member of the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) that developed and built the new venues and infrastructure for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games Previously, he helped to establish, and became Managing Director of Lancashire Enterprises Limited (now Enterprise plc). He then was Managing Director of Amec Developments Limited working on projects worldwide. He was head hunted to become the first Chief Executive of English Partnerships (now The Homes and Communities Agency). In joint venture with British Land plc and a number of other major partners David was the developer of a range of schemes in London which delivered residential, commercial, leisure and retail facilities with an end value of £2 billion. Over the last fifteen years he has built up a portfolio of companies which include Allied Lighting (LED), Carbon Numbers (Carbon Analysis), Endo Enterprises (Green Water Treatment systems), iHandover (Senior Executive Knowledge Transfer) and Energy 10 Ltd (Waste to Green Energy). He acted as Special Advisor to The Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott for eighteen months from 1997 with specific responsibility for the Regional White Paper and the setting up of Regional Development Agencies. He also chaired a major regeneration trust for The Prince Of Wales from 1997 until 2003 spending three years on the Princes Foundation. In terms of Davids pro bono work he was a director of Manchester's hugely successful Commonwealth games, a director of the London 2012 Olympics and he has recently become the Chairman of The University of Central Lancashire. In addition, over the last twenty years he has served as a director of Preston North End for most of that time as Deputy Chairman. David was awarded a CBE in 2007 for his services to the community of Lancashire and, became a Deputy Lieutenant in 2015.

Edgars joined Allied in January 2018 as the Warehouse Manager, coming from a worldwide electronics distribution company after 7 years.

Harry Lytham

Job Titles:
  • Web and Design Manager
Harry joined the Allied team in 2013 and was responsible for the redesign of the product catalogue. Harry now works closely with Natasha developing and maintaining the new website, product data sheets and marketing projects.

James Lewis

Job Titles:
  • National Key Account Manager - London Office
James joined Allied in 2013 after working for global lighting manufacture both in the UK and Europe for over 10 years. From this experience James is able to identify bespoke luminaires and systems to offer the client the best possible solution. James is now managing a number of contracts in the South and Europe including a contact that has distribution centres over 20 European countries

Janet Stead

Job Titles:
  • Office Manager and PA to Chairman
Janet assists on a broad range of company administration aspects for Allied Lighting. Janet has over 25 years of experience with company administration having worked for Enterprise Plc prior to taking up her current position. Janet has been working with the DTP group of companies for over 15 years.

Joe Taylor - Managing Director

Joe began with Allied when it was founded in 2006, during this time it was important that he developed and understood all roles within the business as well as the fast evolving LED technology. This included all departments such as sales, design and stocking. This blended well with his previous experience within the industry before being made Managing Director in 2013. Since joining the company Joe has been responsible for a number of high valued National and European contracts both as well as the development of the business, services and product Allied provide.

Jonny Sumner

Job Titles:

Jonny joined Allied in November 2015 in anticipation for the re-location to Walton Summit, joining from a worldwide electronics distribution company after 9 years. Jonny joined Allied in November 2015 from a worldwide electronics distribution company.

Rick White

Job Titles:
  • Contracts and Install Manager
Rick joined Allied in 2013 from a national facilities management company. Rick is a qualified electrician with over 10 years' experience. Rick brings with him a wealth of experience in managing, maintaining and installing large scale electrical installation projects allowing us to advise and offer the best installation solution

Sue Moss

Job Titles:
  • Finance Manager
Sue has managed Allied's accounts department since 2010 after working for a national construction firm for over 10 years. In 2013 Sue join the DTP team and now studying for the CIMA qualification whilst keeping an eye on the books.
