In January 2000, we at Jan's & Company Fine French Antiques, Inc. announced our affiliation with as an Internet Associate. Sotheby's, founded in 1744, is world renowned as one of the most respected and prestigious fine art auction houses in the world. When Sotheby's launched their on-line auctions becoming the first international art auction company on the internet, they selected some of the most prestigious fine art and antique dealers from around the world to participate and become a Internet Associate. As an associate, we were not only able to consign items from our own inventory for their online sales, but we were also able to consign property from private individuals as well. Though ended their internet associate program in 2004, we are still proud to have been recognized by as one of their associates and we are honored to have been a part of such prestigious program.
