David W. Woods

David has always had an interest in a wide range of building types ever since he played with his first erector set at age 10. His experience now includes, corporate office buildings, academic facilities, public institutions, museums, health/fitness centers and custom houses. He has practiced for over thirty five years since completing his Masters Degree in architecture from Washington University. Before forming an association with Harry Culpen, David was a Senior Design Associate with Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum in St. Louis and in New York. In those years, he designed numerous large scaled projects like; the restoration of Union Station in St. Louis, the World Bank in Washington, DC. and the Philadelphia Justice Center Courthouse. David has a particular interest in historic restoration and club / hospitality projects. He directed the adaptive reuse of One Atlantic Street, Redman's Hall and the landmarked "Holly Houses" into an Environmental Education Center. David also directed the firm's corporate interiors work for: Babcock & Brown, Charkit Chemical, Forester Capital and Taylor Design. Many of these projects required restoration of older buildings. David has designed and managed the firm's club projects with: The Country Club of Darien, Innis Arden and The Woodway Country Club .

Nigel P. Marsh

Nigel's received his formal architectural education at the Kingston School of Architecture in England. He is registered with the Architects Registration Board of the United Kingdom, and is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects. He is an Associate Member of the AIA in the USA. Before moving to the US, Nigel gained extensive experience in construction detailing and project management. He was associated with the firm of Ken Martin & Associates for the restoration / renovation of the National Museums & Galleries Conservation Center, on Merseyside, near London. He next worked in New York, with the firm of Harman Jablin, as Project Architect for the renovation of the Mercer Hotel, the conversion of 100 Vandam Street and commercial interiors renovations at 1372 Broadway and 3 Lincoln Center. Nigel joined CWA in 1993. He was responsible for production of commercial renovation and corporate projects for: 19 Old Kings Highway and One Atlantic Street. He directed the historic restoration of the Holly Houses and Redman's Hall in Stamford. He also produced the design, detailing and construction management, for the award winning Malloy House and numerous new buildings for the Country Club of Darien. He has managed all the CWA projects at the Cuisinart Resort and Spa in Anguilla for some 15 years. He has been responsible for a number of large senior and affordable housing projects located throughout the tri-state region. Those include: Rippowam Park, Wharfside Commons, Meadowbrook 1 and 2, and Ashburton Avenue - Site B. Nigel was named a Partner in 2006.
