MASHMAKES

The first MASH thermochemical plant in Maharashtra, India is already operational, producing biofuel and biochar, which generates carbon removal credits. With many more plants planned, we're making measurable strides in climate action... Mash Makes started as a project on the Technological University of Denmark centred around technology that could convert various waste streams (mainly residue biomass) into different energy products. After promising results, we have decided to fund a company that would focus on further development and eventual commercialization of the technology... Historically, carbon credit projects were driven by local impact narratives. At MASH Makes, we insist on supplementing the local perspective with an outside-in approach that focuses on the big picture from Day 1. That means always implementing strategies that have significant local impact, but can also be amplified globally, particularly in terms of carbon sequestration and environmental sustainability.
