Andrew McBride

A retired Pacific Gas and Electric lineman / inspector and a master class falconer who's knowledge of Raptor biology helped develop the utilities training program for building raptor safe constructed power lines throughout PG&E's 70 thousand square mile service territory. Andy is a practicing master class falconer of 45 years and serves on the board of the California Hawking Club and the Bird of Prey Health Group: an inter-professional group transforming health care for birds of prey. Andy is considered an expert in raptor handling and care. He speaks both nationally and internationally on topics concerning birds of prey.

Dr. Vickie Joseph

Dr. Joseph, is a graduate of UC Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine, and is board certified in Avian Medicine. Dr. Joseph brings thirty years of experience as an avian & exotic animal clinical veterinarian and avian & exotic animal veterinary laboratory consultant. She founded the Bird & Pet Clinic of Roseville, a six-doctor practice seeing greater than 50% exotics. For over 20 years, Dr. Joseph was a contract veterinary consultant working for IDEXX Laboratories. During this time, Dr. Joseph consulted on laboratory diagnostics for avian and exotic patients, evaluated blood smears, provided continuing education to the technical staff and was actively involved with the avian and exotics standards team and exotic reference committee at IDEXX. She is currently medical director for the Bird Of Prey Health Group, a raptor rehabilitation facility in California. Dr. Joseph is recognized internationally for her ability to teach avian, reptile and exotic animal hematology, providing detailed information for clinical interpretation. Dr. Joseph has the unique ability to recognize the clinical signs of disease, interpret the laboratory findings and develop a practical approach to diagnosis and treatment.

Marten Benatar

"CAPS IT Specialist", has 30 years experience as a network administrator, marketing and social media marketing, web design, graphic design, desktop publishing, certified Apple computer specialist, music and video production and professional musician. He is a practicing master class falconer, educator, mentor and Vice President of the California Hawking Club and has been on the CHC board of directors for 12 years.
