Agurtzane Ortega joins Danbury Abogados in July 2021, leading the criminal department, after developing her professional career for 12 years at Urraza, Mendieta & Asociados. There, she specialised in criminal law and was a member of the team of renowned criminal lawyer Jesús Urraza, who was also her mentor.
She has led all types of criminal proceedings, related to both traditional criminal law and economic criminal law, with experience in regulatory compliance and crime prevention, providing counsel, developing compliance plans and offering training programs to companies in various sectors as well as different specialised forums.
She is a member of the Basque Association of Criminologists and the Bizkaia Bar Association and teaches as a professor in the Law and Legal Practice Master's program at the Universidad de Deusto. She has also served as a speaker at various conferences on criminal law organised by other Bar Associations.

Amaia Serrano joins Danbury in April 2017, having developed her career at the Corporate Department of Bufete Barrilero y Asociados between 2006 and 2011, and later at the Corporate Department of Garrigues between 2011 and March 2017.
Her practice area has mainly focused in Corporate and Commercial law, including domestic and international commercial contracts, as well as mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
She has broad experience in due diligence processes, acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate restructuring, board secretary duties, reports and legal opinions on corporate law, advising family businesses and drafting family protocols and shareholder agreements, commercial contracts and transactions in general.
She also advices in inheritance law, including last wills, partition agreements and distribution of inheritance.
She has been a lecturer in different forums and professional associations.

During his first years of practice (1999 to 2006), Igor Elustondo combined both taxation and corporate advice, to focus exclusively in Corporate and Commercial advice upon joining Bufete Barrilero y Asociados in 2006, where he practised until 2015.
His practice areas are Commercial, Corporate and International law, and within those areas, he has specialized in restructuring, start-ups, venture capital investments and divestments, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), foreign investments in Spain and establishment of Spanish companies abroad.
Among the clients he advises on a regular basis are multinationals of different sectors, including regulated sectors (pharmaceutical and financial), that have seen Spain as an investment oppurtunity in the medium and long term.
As a consequence of his experience in the coordination and management of international matters, he has built a close relationship with top rated Law Firms in the main international business centers.
Itziar Aguirre joins Danbury in April 2022, after completing her training period and specialization in Criminal Law at the firm Urraza & Mendieta Abogados.
As a professional in the Criminal Law area of practice, she is recurringly involved in legal procedures of criminal nature. She has a wide experience in compliance and crime prevention and has taken part in the development of specific prevention and compliance plans for companies of different sectors.
She obtained her law degree at Universidad del País Vasco, being selected to be a member of the "Talentia Skills" excellence program of "Bizkaia Talent", addressed to the highest potential college students.
She has participated in several specialization seminars, both in the area of traditional Criminal Law and in the area of economic Criminal Law.

Javier Granado joined the tax department of Bufete Barrilero y Asociados in 2002, where he developed his career until 2015.
