Lancaster Independent School for Alternative Learning (formerly Lancaster Steiner School) offers a gentle and natural alternative to mainstream education. We cater for children up to age 11. Since collaborating with Appledore Montessori Nursery Ltd from June 2022, we provide alternative, holistic education for children from birth to 5 years, Transition Class (5-7 yrs) and Lower School (7-11 yrs). We are the only Steiner school in the North West of England and families travel to us from across the region to give their children the most special gift that we can offer - a lifelong love of learning.
