Adam Miller - CEO, President

Adam Miller leads the Aegis team as Principal Agent, striving for total customer satisfaction through consulting and educating clients, as well as offering custom insurance solutions that work for their unique personal or business needs. Adam is a second-generation insurance professional who learned from his mother's insurance career the value of quality insurance coverage and the protection it offers families and business owners. After graduating from the University of Arizona, Adam returned to Houston and worked in Outside Sales until 2005, when he was encouraged by friend Tony May of Nationwide Insurance to begin his own independent insurance agency. He began Aegis Insurance & Financial Services with the belief that consumer education is critical, and that rather than replicating basic insurance policies offered elsewhere, is it much better to create strategic and customized insurance solutions for individuals and businesses. Adam's unique approach to insurance solutions means that Aegis customers always receive a thorough explanation of insurance policy options, giving them a greater understanding of their assets and how best to protect them. Adam also enjoys helping business clients that have a passion for their industry but need help navigating the complicated relationship of protecting their busienss from loss. He is always ready to share his consulting solutions and recommendations with clients in need of advice on future business locations, risk assessment, expansion opportunities, and ways to increase company revenue. Adam's commitment to helping businesses succeed and thrive is demonstrated by his ability to create workable solutions, such as changing deductibles or adjusting coverage, in order to ensure business owners are protected and have peace of mind. As the Principal Agent at Aegis, Adam has strived to create a company that fosters a sense of community among employees and encourages teamwork in all areas. His management style reflects his belief in the benefits of a healthy work and life balance for all team members, and that each employee is valued and treated like a partner in the business. When he's not at work, Adam enjoys spending his free time with his wife Samantha, daughter Ella, and son Aidan. He greatly appreciates the flexibility that comes with business ownership, as it gives him more time to attend many of his children's school functions and be involved with their soccer and baseball teams. Adam is also strongly committed to giving back to the local Houston community. He is a current on the Executive Board (Treasurer) of the Greater Houston Restaurant Association, serving Chair of the Golf Committee (Chair of Spring Swing). He also recently served as Chair of the GHRA's Annual Gala event, and is actively involved in his synagogue. Adam is a master of this industry. Eliza Jeresano

Aegis team member Eliza Jeresano serves in a vital role as an Admin, where she assists a wide variety of clients on a daily basis. She is able to apply her strong passion for helping others as she resolves their outstanding issues and researches their inquiries. With over 7 years of experience in the Customer Service field, Eliza strives to provide exceptional customer service with each client interaction she has, and enjoys tackling new challenges. Prior to joining the Aegis team, Eliza worked for both Samsung USA and Dish Network as a Customer Service Representative, and also served as a Retention Specialist. Eliza's future career goals include pursuing a certification to become a registered financial adviser. When she's not in the office, Eliza spends weekends and holidays with her family, often traveling out of town for quick and relaxing vacations. In addition, Eliza also enjoys crafting projects, and also serves as a member of a youth organization and as a volunteer community nurse.

Fred Burress - COO

Fred Burress serves a critical role with Aegis as COO. He has spent his entire professional career in sales, from selling large-scale software solutions to personal and commercial insurance. Fred has over a decade of experience working in the insurance industry, and worked for an insurance agency in Chicago for 10 years prior to relocating to Houston. Fred comes to Aegis with extensive experience in working with both small start-up firms to large multi-million dollar companies in need of extensive commercial coverage. He has enjoyed the experience of working with new start-up companies and writing policies for them as they grow and develop. With multi-national companies, he's had an opportunity to see their growth and expansion, and help them as they transition to new areas or expand internationally and need new kinds of coverage. Known professionally for working with specific industries, such as wholesale distributors and restaurants, Fred excels at educating clients by uncovering their coverage gaps, and learning what's most important to them. He also strives to explain their coverage in a way that makes sense to them and so they're able to understand why their coverage is so important. During his career, Fred has also received major sales awards as well as letters of recommendation from Nationwide and its national trainers. Fred's favorite aspect of working at Aegis is the atmosphere and collaborating with the team to help achieve set goals. He believes that each team member benefits as the company succeeds, and it's a place where team members can bounce ideas off one another and brainstorm together. He appreciates that each person has their unique experiences and knowledge to contribute, and that there are ample opportunities for growth and education. Originally from the Midwest, Fred is the oldest of three children, and moved to Texas to be closer to his parents in Fort Worth. He is an avid sports enthusiast, playing volleyball in high school and college, cheering for Chicago sports teams, and playing in local sports leagues with friends. When he's not in the office, Fred can be found having brunch with friends, taking road trips, and enjoying outdoor activities. Fred is known as someone who is calm, approachable, down to earth, and willing to go the extra mile to help clients, colleagues, and friends.

Gail Digma

For Aegis Client Service Representative Gail Digma, each day brings with it an opportunity to expand her knowledge of client relations and the insurance industry, as well as a chance to utilize her exceptional problem-solving skills. With a background in customer service and a strong desire to help clients save money and resolve issues, Gail provides a unique blend of empathy and analytical thinking to every interaction. Whether she's answering questions, troubleshooting problems, or finding creative solutions, Gail is committed to delivering excellent service and ensuring total client satisfaction. Prior to joining Aegis, Gail honed her skills working as a chat support agent for a sports apparel company and telecommunications company. Realizing she wanted more opportunities for growth, she stepped out of her comfort zone and joined the team at Aegis. In the future, Gail plans to continue pursuing her undergraduate degree in IT, and also hopes to become fluent in Spanish. Outside of the office, Gail enjoys camping with her family, cooking, and trying out new recipes.

Henry Tran

Henry Tran works as a Market Specialist for the Aegis team, where he continually pursues opportunities for growth by learning about all facets of commercial insurance. In 2015 Henry began his insurance career in a part-time position, and quickly discovered it was the perfect fit for his skillset and expertise. Always eager for a challenge, Henry prides himself on providing prompt solutions and accurate information for clients in need of assistance. He strives for efficiency and professionalism in all areas of commercial insurance, and also plans to expand his skill set to include video production and editing, as well as website development. Henry is a native of Vietnam, earning his Bachelor's degree in Business Management at the University of Technology - Vietnam before moving to Houston in 2013. When he's not working, Henry spends his free time grilling at home, taking trips to the beach, reading, and volunteering at local temples.

Isabel Aristizabal

Isabel worked as an independent contractor for real estate companies for several years before joining Aegis. During this time, she gained extensive experience in handling contracts and ensuring compliance. Isabel excels in her ability to listen to her clients' needs and then develop effective solutions for their issues. Her clients benefit from her in-depth understanding of the commercial and residential real estate industry and her commitment to developing strong client relationships. Jen Bowers - CMO

Raised by parents with backgrounds in the insurance industry, Director of Marketing Jen Bowers knew insurance could be a great career path after college. Over 15 years later, she remains passionate about her work and the contributions she can make to clients and the Aegis team each and every day. Prior to joining Aegis, Jen began her insurance career as a Commercial Lines Assistant, moved up to Account Manager and then into production. After 14 years in the industry and 4 years in production, she was looking for a new opportunity and Aegis was the perfect fit. At this stage of her professional journey, Jen is most excited about pouring into her colleagues that are newer in the industry by expanding their technical knowledge and supporting them as they write new business. She is highly motivated to grow and evolve to make Aegis strong and successful, and to help teammates achieve their own potential. She enjoys working with people, solving problems, building trust with clients, and helping them understand their risks and insurance needs. Clients appreciate Jen's friendliness, willingness to help, and her ability to apply her in-depth technical knowledge to help them fully understand all facets of their coverage. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Jen graduated high school in Plano, attended Texas A&M University, and later earned her Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses. In 2017, Jen completed training to earn her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation and expand her expertise of the insurance industry. When she's not in the office, Jen loves spending time with her husband and children near the waterfront, trying new restaurants and wines, and cheering on the Houston Astros, Houston Texans, the Fightin' Texas Aggies, and Formula1 racing. Jen is also very active within her church community, and enjoys serving individuals in need and participating in outreach activities on behalf of various Fort Bend charities. A fun fact about Jen: She loves wine so much that she is planning a trip to Italy next year for a big birthday celebration.

Lamarcus Watley

He began his insurance career by selling life insurance, eventually earning his Property and Casualty License in order to gain more opportunities for growth. Clients of Lamarcus quickly discover his keen attention to detail, commitment to resolving issues, and exceptional interpersonal skills. He is passionate about connecting with clients, building lasting relationships on trust, confidence, and guidance, and making sure clients have a greater understanding of their insurance coverage. A native of Houston, Lamarcus earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Houston Christian University, graduating as an Honors Scholar from their three-year Honors Program. While in college, he also earned the HCU's President's Award, which is given to students that demonstrate good scholarship, excellent personal qualities, sportsmanlike participation in student activities, and effective support of the University. In his spare time, Lamarcus enjoys achieving fitness goals, billiards, golf, social and professional networking events, dancing, and travel. On the weekends, Lamarcus also finds time for jacuzzi soaking, steam rooms, sport massages, book reading, and his favorite TV shows.

Lisa Garcia

She began her insurance career in 2002 with Triton Insurance, where she worked in Personal Lines and gained experience with bonds, endorsements, processing payments, and client services. Over time Lisa expanded her insurance expertise and transitioned into Commercial Insurance, later joining Aegis where she has thrived in helping educate business clients on insurance needs and offering effective coverage solutions. She enjoys getting to know her clients and their long-term goals in order to provide insurance policies tailored to their unique industry needs. Lisa always provides a cheerful attitude, willingness to help, and a commitment to client satisfaction. Born and raised in Michigan, Lisa moved with her family to Texas as a teenager and later became a Houstonian, where she fell in love with all the entertainment and social activities the city has to offer. When she's not in the office, Lisa enjoys spending time with her loved ones, attending church, watching movies, swimming, and vacationing with family.

Luther Fabia

In addition to his passion for helping people with insurance needs, Luther also helps others as a volunteer nurse. He received his Bachelor's degree in Nursing, and continues to serve the local community. In his free time, Luther enjoys being a part-time game streamer, spending time with friends, and watching horror films.

Olumide Sonde

Olumide Sonde has spent 15 years within the insurance industry, applying a wealth of knowledge and life experiences to his role at Aegis Insurance & Financial Services. Prior to joining the Aegis team, Olumide worked as a Safety Supervisor on oil rigs in Canada, where he gained valuable problem-solving skills and leadership experience. Desiring a job closer to home, he transitioned into a new role with Intact Insurance and began his insurance career. Hard work is the cornerstone of Olumide's insurance career, enabling him to continually advance from one position to another while expanding his knowledge expertise. Starting off in an insurance mailroom, Olumide worked his way to an Underwriter position, then Producer and Account Manager, before joining the Aegis team. Olumide greatly appreciates the peace of mind that quality insurance solutions can provide clients, so he strives to ensure each one has the right type of coverage in place if things go wrong. He enjoys the satisfaction that comes from a job well done, educating clients on their policies and coverages, and working together as a team to solve problems for clients. Education is a priority for Olumide, and after graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, he later went on to earn his Property & Casualty license. He also earned licenses for Life and Health Insurance in order to expand his areas of insurance expertise. Susana Martinoia

Prior to joining the Aegis team, Tracey started her professional career in Accounting for an insurance agency. After realizing her personality and skill set was better suited for a different role, Tracey later transitioned to a position in Customer Service, where she quickly thrived, moved up to Account Manager, and spent 15 years expanding and strengthening her customer service skills. Born and raised in Mandeville, Louisiana, Tracey completed her Bachelor's Degree in Business and later moved to Houston where she earned her Property and Casualty Agent's license. Ty Adams

In her role, Ty strives to build impactful relationships with clients based on trust and compassion, enabling her to educate clients and deliver financial solutions that offer peace of mind. She is committed to providing complete client satisfaction with every interaction in order to develop a best-in-class client experience. Prior to joining the Aegis team, Ty served as the Membership Engagement Director for the Texas Restaurant Association for over 9 years. In this role, she was responsible for strategic event planning, managing board/stakeholder engagement, membership retention, relationship building, and budget management. Ty's professional journey has also been shaped by her commitment to pursue higher education and personal growth opportunities. She plans to complete her Associates degree, and continue her educational goals at the University of Houston. Outside of the office, Ty's greatest joys come from her family and ministry role as First Lady of Eruption of Glory Community Church, where she serves her local community alongside her husband Pastor Gene Adams. As the Director of Explosion Women's Ministry, Ty loves to assist, encourage, and equip women of all ages and backgrounds. In her spare time, Ty enjoys cooking, visiting Houston's wide variety of restaurants, and cheering on her favorite local sports teams.
