Alistair Pyle

Job Titles:
  • Principal Consultant
Alistair joined Impactt In April 2019 as a Senior Consultant and was promoted to Principal Consultant in 2020. Alistair is responsible for Impactt's wider work within the energy sector with a particular focus on marine construction and engineering. His in-country experience stretches across China, Singapore, Qatar, and Azerbaijan where he works closely with our diagnostics team to identify systemic human rights abuses. Prior to joining Impactt, he worked at Sainsbury's Argos where he was responsible for the human rights performance of the furniture and jewellery supply chains.

Amanda Lee

Job Titles:

  • in 2021 As a Project Officer
Amanda joined Impactt in 2021 as a Project Officer where she supports and manages wide range of human rights projects. Prior to that, she led and managed global corporate social responsibilities programs in Greater China while working at Cisco and the Estee Lauder Companies. She also worked in a non-profit organisation running mentoring programs for the disadvantaged youth and in Amazon as a warehouse associate. Born in Mainland China and raised in Hong Kong, she is a native speaker in Mandarin and Cantonese, and fluent in English.

Anja Gauger

Anja joined Impactt in August 2021 as a Consultant. Prior to joining Impactt, Anja worked as a human rights consultant at ERM include long-term support of a top 3 international commodity trader in developing and implementing their responsible sourcing programme, and conducting supply chain due diligence. Anja led cyclical worker welfare monitoring visits for oil and gas clients in the Middle East. Prior to that, Anja conducted research for the Business and Human Rights Resource Centre. Anja has field-based experience promoting migrant labour rights in northern Thailand. (SA8000-trained)

Barbara Dirnberger

Barbara joined Impactt in 2016 as a Project Officer and became a Consultant in 2018. In 2020 Barbara was promoted to Senior Consultant. She manages DFI client accounts and is an Impactt lead auditor. Applying her social research background Barbara refines our worker voice methodologies and trains worker interviewers. Before joining Impactt she researched the human rights of farm workers in the South African wine industry, gained experience working at Care International and at the Austrian Mission to the United Nations in Geneva.

Belén Goyeneche

Job Titles:

Belén joined Impactt as a Consultant in September 2021. She worked for 6 years as a lawyer and legal assistant in criminal courts in Buenos Aires (Argentina). Since 2018 she has been based in Germany, where she pursued an LL.M. and specialised in business and human rights. She has experience in strategic litigation for indigenous and rural communities, in research in agricultural practices in the Global South, in global migration policies, and in smart technologies and human rights rights risks.

Ben Bostock

Ben joined Impactt in March 2019 as a Senior Consultant, and specialises in social audit and forced labour. Ben was promoted to Principal Consultant in 2021. Recently, he has focused specifically on recruitment fee investigation and remediation in the rubber gloves industry in Malaysia, and in construction in the Middle East. Prior to this, he worked for 5 years as a Consultant at PwC within their Sustainability and Climate Change team - working primarily in Human Rights and Modern Slavery for clients in the retail sector.

Darrelene Dias

Job Titles:

Darrelene joined Impactt in August 2021 as a Project Officer. She supports in providing recommendations and recognising signs of forced labour. Her expertise lies in improving work conditions faced by women and young workers in supply chains. Prior to Impactt, she worked in India and has led multiple projects investigating living wages, providing worker training and creating multi-stakeholder agreements. She has an MSC in Labour, Social Movements and Development and an MBA in Human resources.

David Rousseau

Job Titles:

David joined Impactt in January 2021 as a Senior Consultant and specialises in forced labour. Initially, he will be supporting Impactt's projects on ethical recruitment in the Malaysian rubber glove sector and in construction in the Middle East. After starting out his career in the energy sector, David moved to Thailand in 2017, where he developed expertise in human trafficking in the Thai fishing industry and worked with private sector partners to address labour rights issues in international supply chains.

Elise Russell

Elise joined Impactt in January 2022 as a Principal Consultant. She works as part of the agriculture, garments and general merchandising team supporting clients through undertaking assessments to understand the human rights risks within supply chains and applying effective training and remediation solutions. Before joining Impactt, she worked as a consultant for international development programmes across a number of African and Asian countries. She holds an MSc in Globalisation and Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies.

Emily Day

Job Titles:

Emily joined Impactt in 2017 as an intern. Since then her expertise have grown to include child and forced labour investigations and remediations, large scale audit programs, research and human right impact assessments. She supports the team in operational delivery and measuring the impact of projects on workers lives. Prior to joining Impactt, Emily completed a MSc in Research for International Development at SOAS that is applied to projects through statistical analysis, social research methodologies and data management.

Eve West - CHRO

Eve joined Impactt in 2021 as Head of HR (maternity cover) and is responsible for driving our holistic approach to our employee experience and wellbeing. Previously leading HR in legal, coffee and hospitality sectors, Eve brings a wealth of people practice experience to Impactt. Completing her MA in HRM, focusing on mergers, acquisitions and culture, Eve actively promotes diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness. Supporting sustainable initiatives within the coffee industry meant that Eve had previously worked with Impactt's ground-breaking assessment model.

Firza Safira

Firza joined Impactt in 2019 as a Senior Consultant and works closely with clients help identify and remediate human rights issues in their supply chain. Firza was promoted to Principal Consultant in 2021. Before joining Impactt, Firza led social sustainability projects at H&M, and was a sustainability consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She helped implement various labour rights and modern slavery projects including Industrial Relations, Fair Living Wage, Migrant Workers' Recruitment Fees, Inclusive Workplace, and Grievance Mechanisms.

Ged de Meyer

Ged joined Impactt in 2019 as Marketing Manager and is responsible for developing, delivering and monitoring Impactt's strategic marketing activity, including social media, community and content management, and events. Ged also works with our clients on developing and implementing project-focused communications strategies, materials and campaigns to help advance communications efforts on human rights and ethical trade related matters with relevant stakeholders. Prior to joining Impactt, he worked in various communications and social media roles in the technology, luxury goods and sustainability sectors. Ged is a qualified CIPR Public Relations and Corporate Communications practitioner.

Heidi Chan

Heidi joined Impactt in 2017 as a Consultant and manages and supports complex projects and multi-stakeholder initiatives that develop and test new approaches to supply chain challenges, including living wages. As an experienced facilitator, she delivers our flagship Restart workshop. She joined Impactt with experience in working with civil society, public authorities and individuals on local human rights issues in northern England and strengthening youth voice in Bangladesh with United Nations Development Programme. She holds a MSc with distinction in socially inclusive development practice underpinned by a background in women's and gender studies.

Janette Morris

Janette joined Impactt in August 2018 as Office Manager and is responsible for the efficient functioning of it's London office through a range of administrative, financial and managerial tasks. Prior to joining Impactt, Janette worked in a variety of industries, including the military, consular services, the gas & oil industry, retail, education, and construction.

Josie Collins

Josie joined Impactt in 2019 as Project Officer and was promoted to Consultant in 2021. Previously, she worked for four years as a Legal Adviser/Worker Interviewer for Kalayaan labour rights NGO. She brings expertise in areas of human trafficking, modern slavery and forced labour. She has extensive experience in migrant rights-led advocacy, community research design/implementation, and community engagement strategies/interventions development; from her roles at Migrant Help, Refugee Action, Refugee Council, Workers' Educational Association, and Jamaica Diaspora UK. She holds a Human Rights MA with distinction from UCL.

Manuel Silva

Manuel joined Impactt in early 2018 as a Consultant and is responsible for delivering varied work on diagnostics, remediation and investigations. He is also a skilled worker interviewer. Prior to joining Impactt, Manual worked worked briefly at the Wellcome Trust and spent two years working in the UK philanthropic landscape at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. He is heavily involved in social compliance programmes and has first-hand experience delivering assessments in the UK, Europe and Middle East. He began his career with an internship at Amnesty International in Lisbon and has an MSc in Anthropology of International Development from Brunel University.

Michael Pennant-Jones

Michael joined in Impactt in 2018 as Head of Technical, before taking up the position of Director of Consultancy Services in 2020. Michael oversees all Impactt's consultancy operations and the international offices. He has over 20 years corporate experience in environmental and social sustainability, previously heading Sustainability at John Swire and Sons, and as Group Head of Sustainability at James Finlays Limited. He has extensive experience of working in tropical agriculture mainly in tea across South Asia and East Africa, but also a range of other sectors including shipping, biofuels and companies with diversified portfolios. He attended INSEAD Advanced Management Programme and holds Masters from Aberdeen and Leeds Universities.

Noémie Job

Noémie joined Impactt as a Consultant in January 2021 and focuses on human rights and supply chain issues within the energy and heavy industry sectors. Noemie is admitted to the New York bar and she practiced in corporate law and civil litigation. She also worked as a consultant in a legal recruitment agency before joining Impactt. Noémie is a native French speaker and is fluent in English.

Ola Dickinson

Ola joined Impactt in 2015 as a Project Officer and was promoted to a Consultant in 2018. She works across variety of programmes within diagnostics and remediation areas including: investigations, assessments, child labour remediation and capacity building. During her time at Impactt she has spoken to hundreds of workers to understand their challenges and concerns. Prior to joining Impactt, Ola's passion for human rights, sustainable development and ethical trade took her to the Philippines, where she spent a year volunteering for the Youth for Sustainable Development Assembly. In particular, she focused on raising awareness of sustainable practices among local farmers, and helping them to access fair trade cocoa beans supply chains. Ola has also worked as a fundraiser for Amnesty International. She holds MSc in medicinal chemistry. Ola is based in Poland.

Raquel Fisch

Raquel is an experienced and qualified trainer, project manager and worker interviewer with experience working in Brazil, Austria, USA and UK. She joined Impactt in August 2019 to work closely with brands on improving social sustainability, labour standards and recruitment practices through a variety of capacity building projects worldwide. Raquel was promoted to Principal Consultant in 2022. Prior to Impactt, Raquel worked in internal auditing and as a manager driving the sustainability and ethical sourcing agenda for various companies in the fashion and packaging industries. She holds an MA in Business Administration and Management from Westminster University and a BA in International Relations from Pontificia Universidade Catolica de Minas Gerais.

Rosey Hurst - Founder, Managing Director

Rosey founded Impactt in 1997 to make what works for workers work for business. She founded Sedex and launched the Benefits for Business and Workers Programme which links improving productivity with a better deal for workers. She is passionate about re-humanising the workplace and has pioneered large-scale initiatives to remedy modern slavery. Rosey chairs the UK modern slavery charity Unseen and is a member of the Responsible Investment Advisory Council at BMO-GAM. Rosey's passion for the topic can be seen in her TEDx talk.

Sophie Harwood

Sophie joined Impactt in 2021 as a Project Officer. She provides project support on a variety of accounts, with a particular focus on tackling human rights issues within the energy and heavy industry sectors. Previously, Sophie worked as an ethical and responsible sourcing lead for an ambient goods brand, helping to improve labour standards globally, predominantly within seafood supply chains. She worked collaboratively with international suppliers, retailers and various industry bodies to encourage positive sustained change, through measuring and reducing risk experienced by workers.

Tahira Qureshi

Tahira joined Impactt in March 2020 as a Project Accountant and is responsible for monitoring the progress of the project pipeline and overseeing project billing procedures. She looks after project life cycles and related project financial activities and services. Prior to joining Impactt, Tahira worked as a project accountant within the construction and engineering industries.

Tess van den Oever

Tess joined Impactt's consultant team in 2011. Tess has had various roles in Impactt consultant and Senior Leadership team since. Tess now focuses on optimising Impactt's product offer, implementing a knowledge management system and impact measurement. Areas of expertise include audits, investigations, capacity building and remediation. Tess delivered work in the Middle East, Bangladesh, China, Eastern and Western Europe and Malaysia. Prior to Impactt, Tess completed a masters in Corporate Social Responsibility in London and a bachelor degree in Marketing in the Netherlands.
