The Shanghai-based Jin Xing Dance Theatre is China's foremost contemporary dance company. It was established in 1999 by its founder and artistic director Jin Xing as the country's first private performing arts troupe. Under Jin Xing's strong leadership, the dance theatre quickly developed its reputation of artistic excellence, as well as a high international profile. The company has been frequently invited to perform in leading theatres, and at prestigious festivals in its home country and in the Western world. Within the 15 years since its foundation, the troupe has performed in nearly 20 countries, covering 4 different continents...
