MIDWEST DENTAL - Key Persons

Dr. Xochitl Anderton

Job Titles:
  • Community Health Center of Lubbock Dental Director
"It has been a pleasure working with Midwest Dental and their representatives in setting up my new office. They all treated me as a personal friend and were always available seven days a week, day or night. They gave me their word from the beginning concerning good service and fair price, and they have been good in keeping their word. I am pleasantly surprised in their representatives' overzealousness in helping and guiding me through this difficult process of starting a new practice. They gave me many good and much needed advice concerning what I was to expect in this initial stage. Through the period of working together, I have come to develop good friendship with their representatives and look forward to a long, good relationship with this company. I wholeheartedly recommend Midwest Dental to my colleagues as a company you can trust in delivering the promise they make. I especially recommend Midwest to any dentist who is starting a new practice. You'll need a helping hand from friends like these guys."

Joel Richie

Job Titles:
  • Equipment Manager
  • Senior Equipment Executive
I joined the Midwest Dental team in 2002. Since that time, one of my favorite things I have experienced at Midwest Dental is the relationships we build with offices. Whether it is starting a new construction job or replacing a compressor, the trust that is placed with us is both honored and respected. When a doctor decides to invest in new equipment, there are several places he can shop, but we usually earn his business because of the relationship we have nurtured. Of course, having low prices doesn't hurt either! Interests: Watching my kids play sports

Job Titles:

I was originally born in Joao Pessoa, a town in the northeast of Brazil, where I had a blessed and happy life with my brothers, William and Italo, and my parents, William and Silvia. I moved to Texas around 10 years ago. After finishing high school, I studied architecture at the University of Texas at Arlington. Here is when it gets interesting . . . I really like architecture and working at Midwest Dental gave me a new perspective on how I can use my skills to design every doctor's dream office. With that being said, working this close with dentists and their teams, emerged the aspiration to become a dentist myself . . . so now I am getting ready to go to dental school this coming year.

Prior to joining Midwest Dental, I worked in retail for 18 years. I began as a sales associate and worked my way up to assistant manager of a retail store and then started a new job as a store manager at a local parts retailer. As a lot of people know, being in retail is very demanding on the managers. Not only must a manager work about 50 to 60 hours a week (and sometimes more), but they always have to work on holidays and never get to be with their family during the holidays. It began to take its toll on both myself and my family. I didn't want my daughter to grow up without her dad there all of the time. I had to start looking for another job that wouldn't be a cut in pay and wouldn't require me to work as many hours every week. I came across an employment ad for Midwest Dental on a Web site and decided to give it a try. During the interview, [Service Manager] Eddie Cluley began describing the position of a service tech for Midwest Dental and the number of hours that are required to work and a little about the company. When he was describing Midwest Dental, he talked about how family oriented the company was. I started thinking to myself that this is the company that I would love to work for. After another interview, Eddie called me back to tell me that I got the job. Thinking back on my first Christmas party with Midwest Dental, for the first time in my 18 years of working, everyone had bowed their heads and prayed over the food. I have never been with a company that actually prayed before a meal. After that first Christmas party, I knew that this is the company I wanted to stay with for a long time. I have now been with Midwest Dental since 2008. This company is a true blessing for my family and myself. Let Midwest Dental become a blessing to you.

Ron Covington

Job Titles:
  • Design Consultant
  • Office Design Specialist
I came into the dental industry in 1976 as a manufacturer's representative covering Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. My previous career was in construction and little did I know I would be right back in the "sticks and bricks" business within two years of joining what I thought would be a "white collar" job. By 1978, I was drawing dental offices with a pencil and T-square and working with contractors in planning services for dental equipment.
