Andre Walter is a managing consultant within the Cybersecurity & Privacy competence center at Capgemini Consulting in the Netherlands. He is seasoned privacy & data protection professional with more than 10 years of experience in risk & process management (Privacy, SOX, PCI-DSS, business continuity) and a strategy/policy formulation and implementation specialist. Moreover, privacy means more to him than sorely compliance - in his view - mastering the privacy challenge enables sustainable digital opportunities. Before joining Capgemini Consulting, he partnered with international law and auditing firms in the field of privacy, worked at Vodafone as Senior Program Manager Privacy and as Product Manager in the CCTV recording industry. Andre has an extended background in Telecommunications (global mobile operator, mobile network equipment manufacturer, IoT) Within Capgemini Consulting, he has been responsible for various projects in the area of data protection and privacy. Andre holds an Executive International MBA (Maastricht University , 2013) and a BSc degree in Telecommunications (Fachhochschule Osnabrück, 1994). Benjamin André

Benjamin André was trained as an engineer and worked in IT at the French TOTAL company as a software consultant and project manager for several years. In 2006, Benjamin had a side project that aimed at gathering his financial data from several bank on a personal server. He quickly realized that he would be able to connect this data with bills from utilities and e-commerce sites. This led to Cozy Cloud being founded. Since then Cozy has grown to 22 employees who work within a strong ecosystem and has recently raised 4M from Innovacom and MAIF. Cozy's goals is to create an open-source tool that will empower each individual with personal data.

Bo Harald

Bo Harald started his career in banking in the 1970's by promoting and building electronic banking, payments and e-business services. He has developed Nordea's Electronic Banking and payments operations until 2005, when he changed companies and started working with Tieto as the Head of Executive Advisors. He has also served as the the Chairman to the EU Expert Group on Electronic Invoicing, Chairman of Mobey (Mobile Financial Services Forum) and has held and holds directorships in various companies and associations. He has been named as one of the most influential technologists of the 20th century by Institutional Investor. He has been awarded for advancing the Information Society by the Finnish Ministry of Transport and Communications. At the moment he works as an independent advisor, has a chairmanship at ZEF Solutions and continued work in the publicly funded Real Time Economy program. Daniel Kaplan

Biography Daniel Kaplan, 53, is the founder and CEO of the Next-Generation Internet Foundation (FING), a nonprofit Think-&-Do-Tank that produces and shares novel and actionable ideas to anticipate digital transformations. In 1986, he cofounded one of the world's first digital communication agencies, JKLM, which he headed until the early 1990s. Since the 1990's, Daniel Kaplan has been deeply involved in the Internet's development and evolution. He was VP-Membership of the Internet Society worldwide, and contributed to the creation of ICANN. He served in the European Commission's e-Europe's Experts Chamber and currently sits in France's National Digital Council. Mr. Kaplan has written or directed more than 25 books and public reports on the internet, mobility and ubiquitous networking, ambient intelligence, e-inclusion, e-commerce, e-education, electronic media, cities and sustainable development, privacy and digital identities… Within Fing, he has been instrumental in launching the MesInfos project, whose goal is to "empower people with their own data".

Dr. Michele Nati

Biography Dr. Michele Nati is Lead Technologist for Personal Data and Trust at Digital Catapult, where is setting the strategy and the delivery plan to unlock the potential of personal data sharing for creating new Internet of Things and Smart Services while retaining user privacy, trust and confidence. He also manages the Personal Data and Trust Network (http://pdtn.org) aiming at building and nurturing a community for responsible innovation around personal data. Before joining DIGICAT, he matured over 10 years of research and development in Wireless Sensor Networks and Internet of Things. He was Senior Research Fellow at ICS, University of Surrey, where it was Principal Investigator (PI) for the EU FP7 Project on Internet of Things, SocIoTal (http://sociotal.eu) and Co-Investigator IoT-Lab (http://www.iotlab.eu), working on privacy issues in mobile phone sensing and crowdsourcing area. Prior to join Surrey he obtained a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in 2008 from the University of Rome "La Sapienza." and he worked as researcher at the Northeastern University of Boston, and for the NEXSE/WLAB, a company based in Rome. He published a number of peer-reviewed articles and he has been involved in a number of EU and UK funded projects. His main interests are on design, implementation and evaluation of efficient context-aware solutions for modern smartphones, to reduce their energy consumption while increasing the users' data sharing in a privacy-preserving environment.

Irene Ng

Irene is a Professor of Marketing and Service Systems and the Director of the International Institute for Product and Service Innovation at WMG, University of Warwick. She is also a Senior Member at Wolfson College, Cambridge. Irene was an entrepreneur and practitioner for 16 years before switching to an academic career. During her time in industry she occupied a number of senior positions in industry rising to become CEO of SA Tours and Travel group of companies (Singapore, Malaysia, China and UK) and founded Empress Cruise Lines, a company with an annual turnover of USD250m which she sold in 1996. An industrial economist through her doctoral training, Irene's research lies in the trans-disciplinary understanding of value and the design of markets and economic/business models. She is the recipient of several ESRC fellowship appointments, including being one of the 6 UK Advanced Institute of Management (AIM) research Services Fellows, the ESRC/NIHR Placement Fellow and more recently, one of the five ESRC/InnovateUK Innovation Caucus Thought leaders. Noted for his privacy and personal data expertise, Julian is in worldwide demand as a speaker. Justin Richer

Justin Richer is a systems architect, software engineer, standards editor, and service designer with over fifteen years of industry experience. He is the author of the upcoming book OAuth2 In Action from Manning Publications. Michele is senior researcher at the SKIL (Semantic and Knowledge Innovation Lab) Joint Open Lab of TIM - Telecom Italia, located in Trento. His current research interests include Privacy, the innovation in the field of Personal Data Management, Cloud Technologies, Pervasive Computing and Big Bata. Michele collaborated to the Mobile Territorial Lab (MTL) project coordinating the activities concerning personal data management, notably he is responsible of My Data Store, the project of TIM that proposes novel solutions for the creation of an ecosystem of trusted personal data-driven services. He participates in many projects related to privacy, trust and the data-driven service design. Among the other experiences he coordinates the relations of the TIM Joint Open Labs with the European Institute of Technology (EIT Digital) and, in particular, he is responsible for TIM within the European Trusted Cloud Ecosystem high impact initiative. Michele is MSc in Computer Science and received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the ICT Int. School at the University of Trento (2011). Among his past experiences, Michele was visiting researcher at the Concordia University of Montreal (Canada) and collaborated with the Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) research institute (formerly ITC-IRST).

Samuel Rinnetmäki is a hobbyist programmer interested in the role of sensors and APIs in the digital transformation hype and future ecosystems. His projects include smart watch applications, public transit information interfaces, and a self-tracking software suite. Apart from the data available through APIs he also uses spreadsheets and self-made software to collect information about his mood, time use, expenses, consumption of energy, gasoline, water etc. Samuel has been active in the Open Knowledge Finland's MyData working group for several years. He likes to participate in collaborative projects and hackathons. He crowdfunds projects and invests minor amounts of money in cool startups. Samuel has a background in software engineering, identity and access management, enterprise integration and IT strategy. He holds a bachelor's degree in engineering and a master's degree in leadership. He currently works as an Enterprise Architect in the Finnish Centre for Pensions. He is also a board member in the internet service provider Sange. In the rare occasions when he's not working, playing with his kids or programming, he sails an F18 catamaran.
