Amanda S. Legge

Dr. Legge has been an integral part of our professional team since 2012. She earned a B.S. in Biology from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre where she minored in neuroscience, chemistry and theater arts. She earned a B.S. in Visual Science and an O.D. degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Philadelphia. She serves as a member of the Allied Health Professional Staff at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center (inpatient consults and Emergency Department eye care). Dr. Legge practices primary eye care with special interest in retinal diseases, having earned a certification for advanced retinal studies during her academic and clinical training. She is professionally recognized for her expertise in the diagnosis and management of age-related macular degeneration and inherited retina disease. She is a frequent lecturer on retinal diseases to fellow optometrists providing them with continuing education. She has authored numerous articles for national optometric publications about eye disease diagnosis and management. She serves as sub-investigator for FDA clinical trials for pharmaceuticals and contact lenses. She is passionate about patient education and serves as a Key Opinion Leader for several retina disease concentrated companies. Dr. Legge is a VisionUSA doctor who provides free eye care to the working poor who are screened and referred by the Salvation Army. She participates in the national InfantSEE program, sponsored by the American Optometric Association, offering free vision and eye health screenings to 6-12 month old infants. Dr. Legge is an active member of the Muhlenberg Lions Club and leads their program on assistive device donations and disbursement to those in need. She is also a member of the Berks Vision Resource Center Board of Directors serving as secretary and is a member of their Sight Conservation Committee. She is on the Clinical Advisory Board of an online macular degeneration support group providing her expertise in an evidence-based manner. In her personal time, Dr. Legge enjoys music, art, and having adventures with her husband, 2 daughters and their dogs.

Dr Glenn S. Corbin

Dr. Corbin is well respected for his patience, compassion and high level of detail in caring for his patients. He communicates with his patients about their diagnosis and treatment options, encouraging them to play an active role in their care. As a recognized leader in healthcare, Dr. Corbin has created a practice culture embracing technology and the latest advances in medical eye care, attracting patients from a wide geographic area for his expertise. Dr. Corbin earned a B.A. in Biology from Hofstra University in New York and a B.S. in Visual Science and O.D. degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Corbin currently serves as Chief of the Section of Optometry at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. He is on the Allied Health Medical Staff at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center (inpatient consults and Emergency Department eye care) and serves as a Consulting Staff member at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Reading. Dr. Corbin enjoys primary eye care practice, with special interest in glaucoma and ocular surface disease management (infection, allergy, inflammation, dry eye). He serves as a Principal Investigator for numerous pharmaceutical companies in conducting FDA clinical trials to test new medications and devices. Dr. Corbin is recognized for his lectures, both locally and nationally, and has authored numerous professional articles and contributed to several textbooks and professional journals. In 2014, he was selected as the "Pennsylvania College of Optometry Alumnus of the Year" for his contributions to Salus University/PCO and the profession of Optometry. Dr. Corbin serves our community as a member of Rotary International. He is a founding member of the Exeter Community Education Foundation and continues to serve as an active member of their Board of Directors. In addition, Dr. Corbin serves on the Penn State Health St. Joseph Foundation Board of Directors. He is a Clinical Preceptor for the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University and the Illinois College of Optometry, training future doctors of optometry. In 2015, Dr. Corbin was recognized by his peers throughout Pennsylvania being awarded the Berks County "Optometrist of the Year" and the Pennsylvania Optometric Association "Optometrist of the Year." In addition, he was inducted into the Exeter Township School District "Academic Hall of Fame." In 2021 Dr. Corbin was appointed an Associate Professor of Optometry on the Adjunct Faculty of the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago as well being a longstanding member of the Adjunct Faculty at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Philadelphia. He is a VisionUSA doctor who provides free eye care to the working poor who are screened and referred by the Salvation Army. Our practice marks it's 67 th year serving our community in 2022 and Dr. Corbin celebrates his 40 th year in practice. He is most grateful for the thousands of loyal patients he serves.

Jeffrey Stefanick

Dr. Stefanick is the newest member of our professional staff. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and clinical experience in managing ocular disease and complex contact lens cases. Dr. Stefanick earned a B.A. in Chemistry from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre and his Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Elkins Park, PA. He was awarded honors in all of his clinical rotations including an externship at the Lyons, NJ campus of the Department of Veteran's Affairs. While attending optometry school, Dr. Stefanick served as a Clinical Skills Teaching Assistant, training fellow classmates. He served his community as a member of the Lions Club. He has a well established history of community service through work serving the poor as a volunteer in a soup kitchen, clothing drives and other venues. He also participated in Head Start School Vision screenings for early diagnosis of routine vision disorders and sight threatening eye diseases. Dr. Stefanick's interest in serving our children continues in practice as he participates in the national InfantSEE program, sponsored by the American Optometric Association, offering free vision and eye health screenings to 6-12 month old infants. Dr. Stefanick is a member of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He is available to deliver both lay and professional presentations on a variety of ophthalmic topics. Dr. Stefanick will be seeing patients in our Douglassville and Wyomissing offices.

Kerry J. Burrell

Dr. Burrell exudes confidence and calmness in caring for his patients. He is highly respected and engages his patients in their care through extensive patient education. Dr. Burrell earned a B.A. in Philosophy from University of Scranton and a B.S. in Visual Science and O.D. degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He serves on the Allied Health Medical Staff at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center (inpatient consults and Emergency Department eye care). Dr. Burrell enjoys primary eye care with special interest in ocular disease management and advanced contact lens care. He is recognized for his success with complex contact lens cases including multifocal lens designs, refractive corneal reshaping (Orthokeratology) and keratoconus. He serves as a Clinical Investigator for numerous pharmaceutical companies in conducting clinical trials to test new medications and devices. As an InfantSee provider, Dr. Burrell offers free vision and eye health exams to infants ages 6-12 months old. Dr. Burrell is a VisionUSA doctor who provides free eye care to the working poor who are screened and referred by the Salvation Army. He has lectured nationally on a number of ocular disease topics. Dr. Burrell serves our community as a member of the Masonic Union Lodge, Birdsboro and the Scottish Rite Cathedral Valley of Reading. One of Dr. Burrell's passions is performing (guitar and singing) and he was named the Associate Producer for "The Wings of Hope Cancer Benefit Concert", an annual fundraising event in Douglassville.

Leslie B. Miller

Dr. Miller joins our practice with years of private practice experience in comprehensive medical optometry. She earned a B.S. in biology from St. Mary's College of Maryland, graduating with honors. She then went on to earn her B.S. in Visual Science and O.D. degrees from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. Additional educational endeavors include a medical graduate program in physiology from the University of Maryland at Baltimore and Lutheran Theological Seminary Masters of Divinity Program in Gettysburg. Dr. Miller is Board Certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Optometry. She is Certified as a Low Vision Specialist by the renowned Richard Shuldiner, OD/Wm. Feinbloom, OD Philosophy & Methods Low Vision Care program. Dr. Miller is nationally Board Certified to diagnose and treat ocular disease. Dr. Miller enjoys primary eye care with special interest in ocular disease management. She remains active in numerous professional and civic organizations including the American Optometric Association, the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and Lititz AMBUCS. In her spare time, Dr. Miller enjoys spending time with her husband Byron, antiquing, walking and pampering their cat AJ.

Perry C. Umlauf

Dr. Umlauf earned a B.A. in Biology from University of Maryland and a B.S. in Visual Science and Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. He did a hospital based primary eye care residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lebanon, PA. He serves on the Allied Health Medical Staff at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center (inpatient consults and Emergency Room eye care) in Reading. Dr. Umlauf enjoys primary eye care with special interest in glaucoma and management of ocular diseases. He is recognized for his expertise and experience in prescribing specialty contact lenses for keratoconus and other corneal diseases. In 2009, Dr. Umlauf was recognized by his peers by being awarded the state's highest honor, the Pennsylvania "Optometrist of the Year". He is passionate about providing the highest quality patient care and will be seeing patients in our Wyomissing and Myerstown offices. Dr. Umlauf is no stranger to Lebanon County, having practiced with Dr. Albert Alley (ophthalmologist) in Lebanon for 21 years. His community service includes participating in third world vision missions for World Blindness Outreach and vision screenings for the Lebanon Lions Club. Dr. Umlauf is recognized for his lectures and has authored several professional journal articles.
