The Udny Community Fund is offering four rounds of funding in 2025. The final applications for 2025 will be considered at the November UCTC Board Meeting... We are mainly funded by our subsidiary organisation, Udny Community Wind Turbine Company, which manages the community owned wind turbine at Tillymaud (just outside of Pitmedden going towards Aberdeen). The funds produced from selling locally produced clean energy are ploughed back into the community... Udny Community Wind Turbine Company began with an idea from within the community back in 2006. At the time, above everything, it was critical to make sure that a community owned turbine was supported by the community itself and that there were plans in place to spend the potential income once the turbine was producing and selling the electricity.
