Alison Munro

Alison is responsible for providing tailored regulatory advice and training under the Portman Group's Codes of Practice. Alison has worked in marketing regulation for the past four years, most recently at the Advertising Standards Authority within the complaints department. Alison has experience dealing with complaints in both in both broadcast and non-broadcast advertising, and had previously worked at the Portman Group as a Regulatory Affairs Executive. Alison holds a BA Hons in History from the University of Chester.

Daisy Collingwood

Daisy is responsible for Portman Group's media output and external and internal communications. Daisy joined the Portman Group after five years at the British Transport Police where she managed the press office and lead the media response for a wide range of high-profile major incidents, events and reputational issues. After graduating from the University of Sheffield with a BA in Geography, Daisy secured a place on the Mail's journalism trainee scheme where she completed placements at the Liverpool Echo and SWNS news agency before eventually working as a reporter on the Mail on Sunday. Daisy has wide ranging experience in media relations, crisis communications and providing strategic communications advice to senior leaders. David Saer

David oversees the external affairs team and is responsible for the Portman Group's public affairs, policy, media and communications. This ensures that we anticipate and respond to issues within the industry in order to provide the public and policymakers with the clearest information on the sector, as well as to champion and challenge the industry to adhere to the highest standards of social responsibility. Previously, David was the Portman Group's Head of Policy and Public Affairs, leading on the group's policy development, horizon scanning, research analysis and engagement with political stakeholders across the UK. Prior to joining us, David spent over six years at EUK Consulting, a global public and regulatory affairs consultancy. He specialised in providing public affairs support and research intelligence to clients in the food, aerospace and consumer goods sectors, amongst others. He holds a BA in International History and International Politics and an MA in International Politics from the University of Sheffield.

Katie is responsible for assisting the regulatory affairs team with high level administrative support across all functions including training, advice, complaints and compliance. Katie has worked in client relations in the West End Theatre industry for over 9 years. Katie has great experience in client interface along with experience in social media management.

Laura Demorais

Laura is responsible for leading and developing regulatory policy in relation to alcohol marketing issues. She is also responsible for providing the Code Secretariat function to support the Independent Complaints Panel and has oversight of the Advisory Service and Complaints function. If you are member, Laura is able to provide broader corporate social responsibility advice as well as priority advice from the Advisory Service. Laura has ten years' experience of working within regulatory affairs, she has previously worked for Deloitte as a Privacy Consultant and prior to this as a Compliance Officer for the Direct Marketing Association providing advice under their marketing Code of Practice. Laura holds a BA in History and Politics from Royal Holloway and an MA in Contemporary Global Ethics from Kings College London.

Matt Lambert - CEO

Matt joined the Portman Group as CEO in January 2021. Responsible for providing strategic leadership and developing the organisation's membership, Matt uses his extensive experience in national and international management and corporate affairs to champion the Portman Group, and to build on its reputation as a strong and independent regulator and a powerful and persuasive voice for alcohol social responsibility. Prior to joining the Portman Group, Matt held senior roles in corporate affairs, including with Microsoft and Betfair, and is a former CEO of the Federation for Industry Sector, Skills and Standards. Outside of work, Matt's interests include his family, keeping fit, swimming, skiing and supporting charity work.

Philip Rycroft - Chairman

Philip is the Chairman of the Portman Group. Philip was most recently the Permeant Secretary to the Department for Exiting the EU. He brings to the role a rare mix of both business and government experience, having undertaken senior positions in both the public and private sectors. Philip began his civil service career at the Scottish Office in 1989, followed by a secondment to the Cabinet Office for Sir Leon Brittan in the European Commission. He later served as the Director-General for Business and Innovation at the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills, before becoming Director-General for Innovation and Enterprise and Chief Executive of the Better Regulation Executive. He was the Director-General to the Deputy Prime Minister's Office serving Rt Hon Nick Clegg MP from 2012 up to the May 2015 election.

Rebecca Oladipo

Rebecca is responsible for providing tailored regulatory advice and training under the Portman Group's Codes of Practice. If you are a member, she is able to provide a priority service for both regulatory advice and training. She has worked within the oil and gas sector, before taking on the role of Senior Compliance Officer with William Hill and later becoming an Assistant Manager in the Legal and Compliance team at Zoopla. Rebecca holds an LLB Law (with Honours) from the University of Buckingham and is also completing her LPC at BPP University.
