Alan Landy - Chief Legal Officer

Biography Alan joined 400CM in February 2015 as Director, Legal Counsel and was named General Counsel in May 2016 and Partner in March 2022. Alan served as the Firm's Chief Compliance Officer from May 2016 until July 2022. Alan is responsible for overseeing all of the Firm's legal activity and is actively involved in the Firm's compliance program. Previously, from 2010-2015, Alan was an Associate in the Investment Management group at Schulte Roth & Zabel, LLP. Alan holds a B.A. in Economics from Emory University and a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School and is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and the State of New Jersey.

Alex Cha

Alex Cha joined 400CM in 2010 as a Partner and Head of Portfolio Management and Trading. He serves as a member of the Investment and Executive Committees. Alex is responsible for asset allocation, sector allocation, asset selection, trading and risk management. He joined 400CM from Banc of America Securities ("BAS") where he was the Head of ABS Credit Trading responsible for a team of traders and quantitative analysts committing capital in private label RMBS, credit derivatives, whole loans and residuals. During his fourteen-year tenure at BAS, Alex also spent time in London developing the firm's expertise in dollar and non-dollar denominated ABS as Head of European ABS trading and syndicate. Prior to London, Alex‘s previous trading responsibilities included Head of Structured Finance, CDO trading and syndicate, Agency CMO trading and ABS trading. Before joining the financial industry, Alex worked at Lockheed Martin where his primary responsibility was Naval Weapons Systems design for the U.S. Navy. Alex holds a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a MBA from the University of Chicago. Alex holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Ashley Berg - CHRO

Biography Ashley Berg joined 400CM in April 2020 as a Director and Head of Human Resources where she leads and manages the human resource function for the firm. Ashley joined after eleven years at DW Partners where she began as HR Manager and was most recently Head of Human Resources. Prior to DW Partners, Ashley held Executive Assistant roles at Brevan Howard and Morgan Stanley. She began her career at Environmental Risk Solutions where she spent two and a half years as an Associate. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Michigan State University and is a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).

Bill Sanders

Biography Bill Sanders joined 400CM in 2010 and is Partner, President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Risk Officer. He serves as a member of the Investment and Executive Committees and is responsible for investment policy, capital allocation, risk management, business development as well as general business operations. Prior to 400CM, Bill was a Founding Partner, Board Member and Co-Head of Trading for Amherst Holdings LLC, a privately held financial services firm specializing in structured credit investments. In his role at Amherst, Bill oversaw trading, capital allocation, risk management and compliance as well as general business operations. Bill has over thirty-five years of financial services experience and, in addition to 400CM and Amherst, has held senior trading and management positions at Freddie Mac, Banc of America Securities and First Boston. Bill earned a B.S. with honors in Business and Economics from the University of Delaware in 1986. Bill is a member of the Board of Trustees for The Jefferson Trust, a University of Virginia Alumni Association initiative. He serves as a Board Member for the Chance Academy which is an educational community that serves as a center for learning, fostering community and belonging, wellness, peace building and cultural literacy for students and their families. In addition, he is an Advisor to In a Perfect World whose mission is to inspire and empower young people with the opportunity, tools and voice to make an impact on the world. Bill previously served on the Board at PSI, a Washington, DC based nonprofit providing global health services in more than fifty countries (www.psi.org).

Chris Hentemann - CEO, Chief Investment Officer

Chris Hentemann organized and launched 400 Capital Management LLC in October 2008. Chris is Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of 400CM as well as the Chair of the Firm's Investment and Executive Committees. Prior to 400CM, Chris was Head of Global Structured Products at Banc of America Securities where he led the strategy for lending, securitization, trading, sales, research and investment management of residential and commercial mortgage asset-backed securities, CLOs, tax and credit derivatives. Prior to joining BAS, Chris was Vice President and a senior trader in residential mortgage securities, CMOs and derivatives at Salomon Brothers Inc. Chris began his career at CS First Boston where he was responsible for trading and structuring residential mortgage securities, CMOs and derivatives. Chris serves on the Executive Committee for the Boston College Wall Street Business Leadership Council, and the Board of Directors for Domus Kids and the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation. Chris graduated from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.

Chris Schiavone

Biography Chris Schiavone joined 400CM in June 2015 and is currently Head of Private Credit Strategies. In this capacity he is responsible for private credit origination and portfolio management. Prior to joining 400CM, Chris was a member of the Asset Based Value strategy within Perella Weinberg Partners' Asset Management Business where he was responsible for sourcing, structuring, executing and managing distressed investments in commercial and residential mortgage debt, C&I loans, residential real estate and other mortgage and real estate related investments. Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners in August 2010, Chris was a Managing Director at Bank of America Securities where he was Head of Residential Mortgage Backed Securities origination. Previously, Chris held a similar position with J.P. Morgan Securities. Prior to that, he held the position of Director with Fitch IBCA and was a managing member with Essex Credit Corporation, a national specialty consumer finance company. He has over 21 years of experience in structured finance. Chris received a BS in Finance from Bryant University.

Dean Atkins

Biography Dean Atkins joined 400CM in 2015, and is currently Managing Director, Head of 400 Capital Management Europe. He serves as a member of the Operating Committee. Dean has twenty-five years of experience across both European and U.S. securitized asset and structured product markets, on both the buy-side and the sell-side. Prior to 400 Capital he was Partner and CIO at Kinson Capital, before which he held a number of senior positions at ABN Amro including Head of Structured Finance Trading and Head of European ABS Trading and Syndicate. Dean began his career on the U.S. RMBS desk at Abbey National, co-managing a $15 billion portfolio. Dean is Founding Chairman of the Catalyst Club, a genetic cancer research campaign, and has a M.A. in Economics from Cambridge University.

Jimmy Rizos - CTO

Biography Jimmy joined 400CM in September 2015 and is currently Partner, Chief Technology Officer. He is responsible for the Firm's strategy and implementation of proprietary and vendor technology solutions, as well as the Firm's cybersecurity initiatives. Jimmy was most recently Chief Technology Officer and Partner at Continuum Investment Management, a U.S. fixed income alternative asset management firm. Prior to that, he was Head of Mortgage and Credit Technology at Citadel Investment Group in Chicago and New York. He started his career in finance in 1997, with a nine year tenor at Morgan Stanley where he ultimately became Head of Securitized Products Technology. Prior to finance, Jimmy served in the U.S. Navy for six years where he was deployed in the western Pacific region and served in Operation Desert Storm. Jimmy holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the School of Engineering and Applied Science at Columbia University.

Meghan Munchoff - Managing Director

Meghan Munchoff joined 400CM in September 2011 and is currently a Managing Director, Head of Investor Relations. In this capacity, Meghan works closely with the Firm's Partners and the Head of Marketing on client service and business development. She is responsible for all client communication and marketing materials, including pitchbooks, investor letters and market updates, as well as investor data requests, due diligence questionnaires and RFPs. Meghan liaises with 400CM clients and potential investors with both firm and fund related information and material requests, facilitates communications between investors and the portfolio management team, and facilitates all operational due diligence reviews. During her tenure at 400CM, Meghan has created process efficiencies, spearheaded the ongoing goal to standardize client reporting and materials, and manages the continuous development and enhancement of technology tools including the Firm's CRM system. Prior to joining 400CM, Meghan spent six years at Shumway Capital Partners where she was responsible for vendor and project management, and supported multiple members of the management team including the Head of Business Development, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Meghan holds a B.A. in Corporate Communications with a Minor in Business from Manhattan College.

Richard Knaub - Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Legal Officer

Biography Richard Knaub joined 400CM in November 2020 and is currently Chief Compliance Office and Senior Counsel. In this capacity he is primarily responsible for overseeing the Firm's compliance program as well as leading counsel to capital markets and private credit structuring, government and regulatory policy and strategic initiatives. Prior to 400CM, Rick was a Senior Vice President at Bank of America where he held executive roles in the Chief Administrative Office, Global Strategy, Global Risk, and Legal Departments. Prior to Bank of America, Rick was Senior Counsel at Barclays where he advised global business stakeholders on securities, investment advisory, and banking regulations and advised on SEC reporting obligations, including Sarbanes Oxley (Sox) Compliance. Rick holds a B.A. in Finance from Temple University and J.D. from Pepperdine University.

Sang Kim - CFO

Biography Sang Kim joined 400CM in November 2015 and is currently Partner, Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. In this capacity she is responsible for assisting the COO in managing the Firm's trading and asset management operations, legal, accounting, tax and systems management. Prior to 400CM, she was Head of Business Risk at Saguenay Strathmore Capital LLC where she oversaw the overhaul of the firm's compliance and legal infrastructure, managed and coordinated resources for new fund launches, institutionalized the operational due diligence process and materials, and initiated the review of human resource practices and documentation. Prior to Saguenay, Sang was Director of Operational Due Diligence at EIM Management (USA) Inc, and has also held positions at RBC Capital Markets, Deutsche Bank, SG Cowen Asset Management and The Proxy Monitor. Sang holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Yale University and a Master of Science in Accounting from Pace University, Lubin School of Business.

Tim Lynch - CMO

Biography Tim joined 400CM in April 2014 and is currently Partner, Head of Marketing. Tim is responsible for managing the firm's relationships with its clients and the investment community, and for raising capital for the firm's funds. Tim was most recently at Structured Portfolio Management ("SPM") where he was a Managing Director in the Client Development Group responsible for investor relations and capital raising across their various fund products since 2011. Prior to SPM, Tim was at MKP Capital where he was a senior marketer and product specialist. Before joining MKP in 2006, Tim was Director of Hedge Fund Sales at ABN AMRO since 1999. Tim began his career in 1984 at Salomon Brothers in the mortgage research group and later became a senior mortgage salesman in London and NYC. He received a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics from State University College at Brockport, N.Y.

Todd Leih

Biography Todd Leih joined 400CM in 2011 and is a Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager. In this capacity, he is responsible for sector allocation, asset selection, trading and risk management. He serves as a member of the Investment and Executive Committees. Prior to joining 400CM, Todd was a senior portfolio manager for Jane Street. During his tenure at Jane Street, Todd developed, executed and managed the portfolio strategies for distressed structured credit products. Prior to Jane Street, Todd was a Principal at Banc of America Securities ("BAS") where he was a senior market maker for RMBS trading and helped develop the firm's early experience trading synthetic RMBS index products such as ABX. Todd was a research analyst at BAS covering consumer ABS strategies. Prior to BAS, Todd worked for i2 Technologies as a software engineer and Salomon Brothers as a MBS research analyst. Todd graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
