Alex Chrysanthou

Alex Chrysanthou has a wide range of legal experience. He is the Deputy Chairman of the Postgraduate Bioethics Committee, and a member of the Research Committee of the Institute of Medical Ethics. He has a broad experience of healthcare related matters. He has provided legal research on a project concerning vulnerability in healthcare. He has also worked on the Hidden Law Makers Project (2013-2014), in which he presented funded research on new graphical methodologies to consider hidden law making influences in medical law cases. His doctoral thesis explores different legal interpretations of frozen embryo disputes in IVF (including contract, property and rights approaches). He is a teaching fellow at the University of Southampton where he currently teaches Criminal Law. He has also tutors ethics to undergraduate Medicine students. He co-organised and convened the Postgraduate Bioethics Conference in 2014, and was a coordinator of the Small Business Clinic in 2015. He has presented on healthcare/ethics issues in law at Near East University (2016), the University of Manchester Law Postgraduate Conference (2014), Postgraduate Bioethics Conference (2014), and delivered a poster presentation at the International Conference of the Cyprus Society of Human Genetics Conference (2014). Alex has extensive experience of working on legal agreements and compliance issues from his time at Skandia. He also assessed and researched the suitability of linking to new funds and their underlying assets according to Skandia`s Investment policy and insurance regulations.

Dr Andrea Lista

Dr Andrea Lista has notably worked as a legal advisor to a multinational enterprise leading in underwater technology and has been a legal consultant to the European Parliament. He has lectured for several years in various areas of commercial law (international trade, competition law, internal market law and corporate law) in Southampton and London, and he is a very active legal consultant. Dr Lista has vast experience in EU law, corporate law, and international trade and international commercial arbitration, and he is a legal consultant to companies and law firms. He is also an active member of the European Law Research Group. In May 2013, Andrea was awarded the `ETA Excellence in Teaching Award as the Overall Outstanding Lecturer in the School of Law`, and the `Vice Chancellor Teaching Award for Excellence in Teaching`.

Dr Rui Zheng

Dr Rui Zheng graduated from Renmin University of China in 2006 where he obtained his LL.B degree. He then graduated from Swansea University, UK in 2008 and 2012 where he obtained LLM degree in International Maritime Law (distinction) and PhD degree (in Marine Insurance) respectively. Dr Rui Zheng was a part-time lecturer at School of Law, Swansea University from 2008 to 2012, teaching English Legal System and English Contract Law. He was also a research fellow at the Institute of International Shipping & Trade Law, Swansea University. He attended International Conferences and Seminars regarding maritime law and insurance law in London and other cities in UK on a regular basis. Dr Rui Zheng joined Shanghai Maritime University as a lecturer in Maritime Law in April, 2013. He teaches Maritime Law, the Law of Marine Insurance and the Law of Charterparties to both undergraduate and postgraduate students from College of Law, College of Transport & Communications and Merchant Marine College. Dr Rui Zheng is currently a member of expert group, entrusted by the Ministry of Transport of People ™s Republic of China, advising on the issues of improvements and amendments regarding Chinese Maritime Code. Dr Rui Zheng has a very good understanding of both English and Chinese maritime law and is capable of advising almost in every area of maritime law. Dr Zheng deals particularly with Chinese related legal and consultancy issues in motherland China. He is a correspondent for our office in any kind of litigation, arbitration, mediation issues related to maritime, trade, admiralty, insurance, commercial, corporates and civil law matters in China.

Mr Lorenzo Macchi

Mr Lorenzo Macchi obtained his LL.D with distinction at University of Pisa in 2011 with a dissertation in Maritime Law entitled œ Multimodal transport operator, uniform regulation needed . He worked as trainee lawyer in Pisa covering a wide range of practices area such as litigation, corporate, dispute resolution and arbitration. Afterword, he completed his internship in a prestigious Notary Firm in London being allocated to the Italian department. Mr Macchi has also attended several English Law specialisation courses in London before arriving in Southampton where he is currently carrying out an LL.M in Maritime Law. His key sectors are mainly Trade & Commodities, Shipping Law, Multimodal Transport and International Commercial Arbitration. He is the founder of the blog www.maritimeandcommerciallaw.co.uk, which gathers news, articles and materials in the field of maritime and commercial law. Mr Orcun Kocak

Mr Orcun Kocak commenced his career as a legal intern in Istanbul in 2011. He worked in the courts, pursued the court files in enforcement office making documentation, and drew up contracts regarding international maritime law and international litigation. Mr Kocak has experience in shipping and trade industries and represents charterers, cargo interests, shipowners. Ms Arzu Alcicek Eronat

Ms Kadioglu has prepared a summary in the relation to the ISDA Dodd-Frank Protocol of rule § 23.504 Swap Trading Relationship Documentation Requirements for Swap Dealers and Major Swap Participants of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission Rules and Regulations. She also prepared for a FINRA arbitration matter by reviewing relevant cases that involved wrongful employment termination and breach of contract, and unpaid promised contractual compensation in respect of the work, labour and services rendered on behalf of the company. Analysed prospective Arbitrators ™ cases and their decisions, and ranked them based on their capability to make a decision in favour of the company. Prof Dr Erdem Ozdemir

After his master`s thesis work in 1995 on the minimum wage law, Erdem Ã-zdemir completed his doctoral thesis on ``Collective Agreement Provisions and Their Normative Effects on the Contract of Employment in 1999. ¨ ¨ With his book œBurden and Tools of Proof in Labour Disputes`` published in 2006 and his academic works, he had œAssoc. Professor title in 2006. ¨ ¨ Dr. Erdem Ozdemir, is also the author of the books œRelease Documents in Labour law Practice and œTermination of Employment Contract by Mutual Agreement published by the Istanbul Bar Association. Dr. Erdem Ozdemir, is also the author of numerous articles. He teaches at Marmara University School of Law, Kadir Has University School of Law, graduate and doctoral courses; he also works as a ``expert`` at the labour courts.
