Alan is managing partner and head of our Corporate Department, where he specialises in the establishment of venture capital funds and related investment vehicles and the structuring and licensing of insurance companies. His practice also includes advising on cross-border corporate finance and M&A transactions. Alan was admitted as an attorney in the Cayman Islands in 1999 and joined Campbells in 2009.
Aleisha Brown is counsel in our Litigation, Insolvency & Restructuring group in Hong Kong. Aleisha has experience in a broad range of commercial litigation matters, having acted for clients in relation to trust disputes, the winding up of offshore companies, limited partnerships and other structures, shareholder, investor and partnership disputes, schemes of arrangement, insurance claims and cross-border estate matters.
Aleisha is a STEP qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) and advises individual and corporate clients including trustees, beneficiaries, protectors, and enforcers of STAR trusts on contentious and non-contentious trust matters. Aleisha has been listed as a Rising Leader in the Private Client Global Elite Directory 2021/22.
In 2020, Aleisha was recognised by Legal 500 as a "key lawyer" and in 2019 was awarded a Worldwide Excellence Award for achieving the highest pass with distinction in the STEP Advanced Certificate in Cross-Border Estates (between 1 July and 31 December 2018).
Aleisha spent two years practising in the Cayman Islands before relocating to Hong Kong in 2018. After relocating to Hong Kong, Aleisha was seconded to a major international bank where she assisted the bank's private wealth business on a range of matters relating to the establishment, administration and termination of trusts.

Alexandra is a senior associate in our Corporate Department. She advises on Cayman Islands corporate transactions including series equity finance, structured finance, debt and equity capital markets, restructuring and corporate governance, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, stock market listings and shareholder agreements. She also advises clients on a range of finance matters, including secured lending, subscription finance, acting for cross-border banks in large debt financing deals, in addition to regulatory matters, including trade and business licensing, bank and trust company licensing and the regulatory and compliance implications of various types of transactions and licenses.
Of particular interest to Alexandra are the corporate transactions and financings related to Latin American privately owned businesses and start-ups, and she has assisted in the series financings, listings and general corporate matters for several Brazilian unicorn entities across several industry sectors.

Chantelle is a legal manager in the Corporate Department of our Hong Kong office. Chris is counsel in our Litigation, Insolvency & Restructuring group based in the Cayman Islands. He has extensive experience of acting on commercial litigation and arbitration matters, with particular experience of banking and financial services disputes, shareholder and investor disputes, contentious insurance claims, and distressed fund issues.
Chris was previously a member of the in-house litigation team at Barclays Bank in London, where he was Head of Litigation and co-head of the broader Litigation, Investigations & Enforcement team for the EME region. Chris has extensive experience of advising on the full spectrum of contentious banking issues spanning retail, commercial, investment and private banking. Melanie Crinis graduated with a Bachelor of Laws Degree (with Honours) and a Masters Degree with Distinction (specialising in commercial litigation) from QUT University in Australia. Natasha obtained her bachelor's degree in History from Clare College, Cambridge University (UK). Thereafter, Natasha completed her legal training in London and in 2012 was called to the Bar of England and Wales. Before practising in Grand Cayman Natasha was a member of two leading sets of Chambers in the UK where she gained extensive advocacy experience in all areas of her practice. Nienke is an attorney who specialises in insolvency litigation and advice and commercial disputes. She is Counsel in our Litigation, Insolvency & Restructuring group. Her practice consists of high value and multi-party disputes and litigation, and the cases she is instructed on often include cross-border and multi-jurisdictional elements.
Nienke is a highly experienced advocate with an extensive background in both corporate and personal insolvency matters as well as large-scale commercial litigation.
Nienke obtained degrees from the University of Oxford (New College) and Harvard Law School before being called to the Bar of England & Wales. Prior to joining Campbells in the Cayman Islands, Nienke was a member of a leading set of Commercial Chancery chambers in London where she was instructed as both sole and junior advocate in relation to a wide number of commercial and insolvency disputes.

Richard represents hedge fund managers and private equity firms on the structuring, formation, regulation and ongoing operation of Cayman Islands investment funds with a wide array of asset classes, from cryptocurrencies and other digital assets to real estate and debt. He also advises fund investors and service providers on both routine and complex investment fund related matters. Richard advises on a wide variety of corporate transactions, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, stock market listings, shareholder arrangements, group reorganisations and downstream transactions. Sarah Thompson is a partner in our Litigation, Insolvency & Restructuring group. She has a broad dispute resolution practice, with a particular expertise in complex high-value corporate and commercial disputes, which are frequently multi-jurisdictional in nature and financial services litigation.
Prior to joining Campbells, Sarah practised in the British Virgin Islands for over five years at another leading offshore law firm, where her practice encompassed company and shareholder disputes, civil fraud and asset tracing, enforcement, trusts litigation, hedge fund and private equity disputes, and insolvency and restructuring.
Having begun her legal career at Linklaters, Sarah subsequently worked for both a leading global investment bank and alternative investment manager. This industry experience informs Sarah's approach to contentious matters in the private equity and hedge fund space and her interest in the evolving landscape of cryptocurrency and virtual asset related disputes. Sarah studied modern languages at Christ Church, University of Oxford. She is fluent in French and German and speaks conversational Spanish.

Sayak is a senior associate in our Corporate Department. Sayak's experience prior to joining Campbells included working at a large international law firm in London and subsequently acting in a senior deal execution capacity for a London based asset management firm. He has extensive experience acting both for and against insolvency practitioners in all forms of external administrations, as well as acting for parties involved in general commercial, financial services and trust disputes, and has been involved in many of the largest offshore disputes to come before the courts of the BVI and Cayman Islands in recent history.
Shaun is counsel in our Litigation, Insolvency & Restructuring Group. Shaun represents investment funds, directors, trustees, professional firms and their insurers in high-value litigation and arbitration. He is an expert in professional liability and is the author of Don't Shoot the Advisor: A defence lawyer's guide to protecting your position and preventing lawsuits. Shaun joined Campbells in 2014, having trained and practised at Simmons & Simmons in London.
Shawnalee is an associate in our Corporate Department. She advises on corporate, commercial and regulatory law including Cayman Islands shipping and aircraft matters. Shawnalee commenced her Articles of Clerkship with Campbells in September 2020. During her training, she participated in the Judicial Clerkship Training Programme at the Cayman Islands Courts.
