DEPARTMENT OF ARCHITECTURE

The Department of Architecture, Punjab established in the year 1959, contributes towards the overall development of the State , by designing buildings and building complexes of the State Government departments to create congenial built environment for functioning of the Government and Welfare of the State. Besides Government Works, Department of Architecture also undertakes the works of various Corporations/Boards and Autonomous bodies as deposit works... Prior to the emergence of The Union Territory of Chandigarh, the Capital Project of Chandigarh had been a part of the Department of Architecture, Punjab . Over the years the Department of Architecture has developed expertise to design multi farious buildings ranging in scale from a small dispensary to multi-storied structures for offices, hospitals, institutional , judicial and Administrative complexes and to plan townships besides interior design and landscape projects.
