City Neon was founded by Earl C. "Bud" Atkins in 1952 as a small local sign shop in Morgantown, WV. In 1963 Atkins incorporated and expanded City Neon into a larger shop specializing in neon sign work. After purchasing and developing land around the Morgantown area, City Neon grew into a full-service sign company tailoring to territories all across the country... After finding success in the retail market, the Atkins family entered the wholesale side of the industry hoping for the same evolution.
