DEVERON DENTAL CENTRE - Key Persons
Ellie joined the Deveron Dental Centre team in March 2022, having previously worked as a carer. She has quickly picked up the various roles within the practice and really enjoyed the Dental Nurse training programme based at Aberdeen Dental School.
Ellie qualified in August 2023 as a Dental Nurse.
Ellie enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves going out for food. She has a lovely warm personality and is a local quine so knows our patients well already!
Kirsty is one of our compassionate and kind qualified dental nurses, who joined the team in September 2014.
Kirsty passed the NEBDN National Diploma in Dental Nursing in July 2014 after completing two years of study at the Aberdeen Dental Hospital & School. She has completed the Cleanliness Champion course which will demonstrate her commitment to achieving the highest standards of cross infection control at all times. Kirsty is one of the qualified first aiders at the practice and is also a qualified Childsmile Nurse.
Kirsty has recently completed the radiography course online with the BDA, which allows Kirsty to take xrays of our patients.
Kirsty can usually be found working with Morven and is our Invisalign dental nurse expert. She also runs the LDU, where she is in charge of making sure our practice is always fully stocked.
Kirsty started her maternity leave in March 2024 and we look forward to welcoming her back to the practice next Spring. Kirsty is off having her first baby and we are all so happy for her, she is going to make an amazing mum!

Natalie joined the team as a trainee dental nurse straight after completing her 6th year at Turriff Academy in 2017. Natalie qualified as a Dental Nurse from Aberdeen Dental Education Centre in January 2020.
Natalie is a polite, chatty and friendly person who enjoys meeting new people. She is very well trained and not only is she an excellent dental nurse, but she is also well trained at helping Kelly to run the reception desk, which is not an easy task.
In her spare time she likes to go to the gym and enjoys socialising with friends and family. Natalie also like cooking and baking in her spare time.
Natalie is our qualified first aider at the practice. She completed the first aid training in Feb 2024.
Natalie is also a qualified Childsmile Nurse and enjoys running the Childsmile clinic.

Nicole joined the team in June 2021, after an extended year long wait due to the pandemic. We're so glad she did wait, as she has been an excellent addition to our nursing team!
Nicole feels dental nursing is the perfect job for her as she is caring and patient, and she also loves interacting with people and getting to know her patients. She is a quick learner and is excelling at her dental nursing course. With her sunny personality, and you can be sure that you'll always see her with a smile and ready to help you whenever you visit us in practice!
Nicole is also a qualified Childsmile Nurse. Nicole is looking forward to helping the children of the practice learn about looking after their teeth and keeping their smile healthy.
Nicole is also a very talented photographer and she has very kindly taken all our profile photos for our website.
Morven Gordon-Duff is the clinical director as well as the principal dentist in the practice. She qualified as a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2002 from the University of Glasgow. After graduation, she spent several years working as a Senior House Officer in the Maxillofacial Unit at the Southern General Hospital and in the Oral Surgery/Conservative Dentistry Departments at the Glasgow Dental Hospital. During this period of extended training, she gained Membership of the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow (MFDS RCPS) and she also sits on the Scottish Dental Practice Committee through the BDA, where she enjoys being able to make a difference within dentistry in Scotland.
Morven has also worked as an associate dentist in several busy NHS practices in Glasgow and as a locum dentist in New Zealand. She was delighted to be shortlisted for the UK Young Dentist of the Year and was the very proud winner of the Employer of the Year at the Scottish Dental Awards in 2015.
As a phobic dental patient herself, she completely understands how it feels to be scared of dental treatment, especially needles. Her aim is to make your treatment at the Deveron Dental Centre as relaxing and comfortable as possible and she has trained her staff to help nervous patients cope with dental treatment.
Morven is one of only a few fully trained Invisalign Platinum Providers within the Aberdeenshire area, and is very experienced in helping to straighten your teeth and improve your smile.
She has been a vocational trainer since 2010, which means that she is a mentor to young dentists during their first year after qualification. Morven finds this role to be extremely rewarding as she is able to her vocational trainee grow in confidence and improve their skills throughout the year.
Outside of work, Morven can be found either at the side of a football/rugby pitch cheering her son and his team on, or touring Scotland with her daughter for Highland Dancing competitions! She also enjoys going on walks with her husband and dog Bramble.
Sophie joined the team in 2023 as a Vocational Dental Practitioner, having recently graduated from the University of Dundee. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and her friendly chairside manner makes her patients feel relaxed in her care.
Sophie grew up in Aberdeenshire and loves this part of the country. Outside of Dentistry, Sophie enjoys cooking and baking, jewellery making and yoga. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Sophie will be working closely with her mentor Morven to develop her skills further throughout her time at Deveron Dental Centre.
Sophie is available for appointments Monday to Friday.
