I will be retiring from practicing veterinary medicine at the end of 2022. Although this may come as a surprise, it is something that I have given careful thought to in the past three years. It has not been an easy decision to make. My love for farming, beekeeping, and time with my family has grown so strong that it frequently finds itself at odds with practicing veterinary medicine. I find myself longing for a simpler and more thoughtful lifestyle, and I am ready to make the change... What will I do? I will start a new business involving agriculture from the ground up in 2023 to satisfy my entrepreneurial spirit. I am going to nurture my love of growing things. I will expand my farming capabilities, focus on my honeybees, and spend the winter months in a magical part of New Mexico with my family. I am going to raise a few racehorses, hike segments of the Appalachian trail with my son, canoe the French River in Ontario, and explore the Grand Tetons on a pack trip in Wyoming. In..
