ELLEN TINKHAM is an "Outstanding" Local Authority funded special school for children and young people aged 3-19 years, who have severe learning disabilities. All our students have an EHCP (Education, Health & Care Plan)... Ellen Tinkham School is part of the Learn to Live Federation with Bidwell Brook Special School, located in Dartington near Totnes. The federation encourages best practice in both school as well as joint working opportunities for both students and staff... We are committed to putting our pupils and students at the heart of everything we do, through our holistic approach to education. We know that children learn best when they are in an environment that is responsive to their needs. Both our school and college sites are able to meet these needs, providing a positive and stimulating experience unique to each individual that also ensures their full educational entitlement.
