Dr. Xavier J. Gutierrez

Dr. Xavier J. Gutierrez obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Intercultural Relations from Bethany Bible College in Scotts Valley, CA. He then received his doctorate from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, IL. He completed a two-year General Practice Residency at University Medical Center (UMC) and VA Hospital in-Fresno, CA, serving as Chief Resident during his second year. Following his residency, he was selected to serve as faculty from 2002-2005 at UMC and as an adjunct faculty member at UOP Dental School. Dr. Gutierrez opened his private general practice in 2002. Having been exposed to a variety of dental trauma while working at UMC, Dr. Gutierrez developed a passion for the handling of these challenging cases, more specifically cancer dental rehabilitation and athletic trauma. In 2004, Dr. Gutierrez was selected to serve as the team dentist for the Fresno State University Athletic Department. In 2013, he began serving as team dentist for the Fresno Pacific University Athletic Department, and Clovis High School athletics in 2014. Since 2006 Dr. Gutierrez has received continual training and education through the internationally acclaimed Academy of Sports Dentistry. In 2017 he was awarded the distinction of Fellow of the Academy of Sports Dentistry and has lectured to dentists, athletic trainers, dental residents, the Central Valley Nurses Association, and the community on the subject of sports dentistry and managing dental trauma. He is currently serving on the Board of Director's for the Academy of Sports Dentistry. Dr. Gutierrez is past President of the Fresno-Madera Dental Society. Since 2007 he has also served as lead dentist for TeamSmile-Fresno State, personally overseeing fundraising, promoting, and staffing the non-profit organization's event that provides free dental care to the children of Fresno County. In 2019 he was nominated and awarded the Health and Human Services Hero Award by the College of Health and Human Services at Fresno State University. The award recognizes those who make a difference in the fields of health and human services through their work, service and advocacy on behalf of children and families in the Central Valley. His volunteer services also extend beyond the borders where he has led family teams on mission's trips to Mexico since 2008, providing free dental and medical care to the children and staff at an orphanage. Dr. Gutierrez grew up in the Reedley and San Francisco Bay areas, but he and his wife Joely chose Fresno as the area where they would establish their roots for its sense of community and family values. Together they are raising 4 children that are active in academics and athletics as well as youth/young adult groups at church. They have found the key to maintaining balance is to participate in activities together. When it comes to TeamSmile events or working at the orphanage in Mexico, they all serve together in some capacity. Likewise, when it comes to youth group, you will find Dr. Gutierrez serving as a high school volunteer leader at New Covenant Community Church in Fresno, where he doesn't shy away from displaying his athletic skills in a game of basketball or mud football. Dr. Gutierrez continues to find the field of dentistry stimulating and rewarding. Stimulating in the fact that new advancements in research and technology as well as materials is making dental rehabilitation both artistically appealing and functionally superior. Rewarding in the sense that as a dental provider, you have an opportunity to make a dental visit comfortable and educational and set even the most apprehensive patient on a path to optimal dental health.

Jeremy E. Grabe

Dr. Grabe attended San Diego State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He then obtained his doctoral degree from New York University College of Dentistry. After finishing dental school, Dr. Grabe moved back to the valley and completed a one-year advanced Post-doctoral General Practice Residency through Community Regional Medical Center, of Fresno. Dr. Grabe has received advanced training in Comprehensive Dental Treatment and Cosmetic Dentistry through USC, Aesthetic Continuum and through Frank Spear Education Continuum in Scottsdale; Speareducation.com. Dr Grabe has also been an active participant in a year long Spear's Study Group with local General Dentists, Periodontists and Orthodontists to obtain a greater understanding of dental cases from standard to complex treatment planning. Dr. Grabe is also a certified Preferred provider of Invisalign, which is a clear alternative to braces for adults and some select teens. Dr. Grabe is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the Fresno-Madera Dental Society, California Dental Association, American Dental Association and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Raised in Fresno and a graduate of Bullard High School, Dr. Grabe is actively involved in the Fresno community. He has participated many times in the Seal and Save our Smiles day, which is a program to donate dental treatment to underserved children in the local area. Dr. Grabe is an avid golfer, enjoys going to the coast and being active outdoors with his wife. Dr. Grabe is experienced in all aspects of General Dentistry. He is gentle and personable with every patient. He understands that the dental office isn't always the patient's favorite place, and strives to make each patient he treats comfortable and the procedures painless. He is also passionate about aesthetic, minimally invasive and preventive dentistry.

Joseph W. Moss

Dr. Joseph Moss was born and raised in Fresno, California. After completing high school at Clovis West he attended The University of California in Santa Barbara and obtained a bachelor's of science in Biochemistry. Dr. Moss then went on to attend the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry at the University of the Pacific. After dental school, he completed a year of advanced training and obtained a general practice residency certificate from Community and Veterans hospitals in Fresno. Dr. Moss has accumulated hundreds of hours of continuing education including at the prestigious Spear institute and at UCLA. He is also a member of the Fresno-Madera Dental Society, California Dental Association, and American Dental Associaation. In his free time he enjoys running, cycling, and volunteer work.

Michelle B. Asselin

Dr. Asselin attended California State University, Fresno, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. She obtained her doctorate at NYU, graduating with honors. Dr. Asselin completed a one-year clinical concentration program in oral medicine and pathology and was recognized by the American Academy of Oral Medicine for her interests in disease processes of the oral cavity. She completed a two-year post-doctoral residency program at University Medical Center, Fresno, where she served as chief resident. Dr. Asselin was conferred her Fellowship by the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) in 2007, an honor bestowed to only 13,000 dentists worldwide. In 2012 she was selected by her peers and honored with the distinguishment of fellow into the American College of Dentists (ACD). Most recently she was inducted into the International College of Dentists (ICD) the oldest honorary organization for dentists. Selected by her peers Dr. Asselin is now among 1% of dentists worldwide who have received this honor for her continued commitment to excellence through outstanding leadership, ethics and exceptional contributions to dentistry and society. She has received extensive training in cosmetic dentistry through the prestigious Rosenthal Aesthetic Institute in New York, the UCLA Aesthetic Continuum, Dawson Center for the Advancement of Dentistry in Florida, Spear Institute in Scottsdale, AZ, USC Full Mouth Implant Reconstruction, Digital Smile and Bioclear. Dr. Asselin is a certified Invisalign Preferred Provider, DaVinci Veneer provider and Bioclear provider. The past 17 consecutive years she has been named Who's Who in Healthcare. For 15 years she served as a medical staff at Community Regional Medical Center and as an adjunct professor for the University of the Pacific Dental School, where she continues to guest lecture. Dr. Asselin provides a unique blend of artistry and science to each patient's experience, utilizing the most advanced dental technology available. With comfort and quality at the helm of her procedural approach, she has established a reputation for stunning results; providing patients of all ages healthy, beautiful white smiles that look and feel natural. Dr. Asselin is the past President of the Fresno-Madera Dental Society. She is also an active member and serves on the board of numerous other professional organizations including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Oral Medicine, American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, American Dental Association, and California Dental Association. Raised in the Fresno/Clovis area and a graduate of Clovis High School, Dr. Asselin is actively involved in the community. She volunteers her services and time to organize the annual Save and Seal Our Smile, Give Kids a Smile, and Team Smile, which provide free dentistry to disadvantaged children. She was named "Woman of the Year 2007" for Fresno County for her fundraising efforts to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. In 2009/2010 Dr. Asselin was selected to be the exclusive dentist for "Fabulous at Any Age: The Fresno Extreme Makeover Project." Dr. Asselin was honored in 2011, as the Top 40 Under 40 in Fresno for having demonstrated a strong work ethic and being a leader of today as well as tomorrow in the business sector and the community. She generously helps victims of domestic violence by partnering with AACD Give Back a Smile program.
