Gust Spaepen

Co-founded Gateway in 2015. Gust's responsibilities range from being Gateway's European representative over deal origination and structuring as well as active participation in projects underway. Before Gateway, Gust served as Group Managing Director of Oiltanking, a global independent tank storage company and was a member of the Executive Board of Marquard & Bahls, Oiltanking's parent company. Gust has been actively involved in Oiltanking's activities in India and has served on the Indian Oiltanking Ltd Board from 2004 until early 2015. In 2011 Gust founded his own Consultancy company SRWC and has been working on a variety of port- and tank storage related projects in amongst others Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Nigeria, Guinee, Malaysia, Singapore, Oman, the UK and Poland. In the course of his career, Gust has gained extensive knowledge of not only liquid logistics and storage but also accumulated a wide, experience-based knowledge of an array of management aspects in an international B-to-B environment, from contract negotiations to project management, JV negotiations and - operations, finance and HR as well as acquisitions and brown/green field projects.

Jayanta Bhuyan

Co-founded Gateway in 2015. Jayanta's primary management responsibility is to lead the efforts to provide the support needed by the Gateway clients in setting up and managing their Indian entities, besides assisting in structuring the contracts with these clients. Before Gateway, Jayanta was the Founder Managing Director of IOT Infrastructure and Energy Services (IOT), nominated by the promoter Oiltanking. During his tenure of 18 years, IOT grew into leadership positions in tank storage and logistics, aviation fueling at airports and Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) across the Indian subcontinent and also expanded in countries like Oman, UAE and Indonesia. Earlier, during his tenure in IOC, Jayanta held Directorships in their Joint Ventures with MNCs like Mobil, Nyco France and Oiltanking. Jayanta, an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, has established management competencies in international business and project leadership, relationship building and networking, interfacing with regulatory authorities, negotiations and deal making, acquisitions and alliances, HR, Finance, talent acquisition and retention and crisis resolution.

Kapil Jain

Co-founded Gateway in 2015. Kapil is responsible for deal origination, entry strategy, financial analysis and structuring. Kapil is a Chartered Accountant with 25 years' executive career in India and Germany. As member of the start-up management team of IOT Infrastructure Energy Services Ltd., he helped to establish and grow the Terminalling business in India acquiring valuable experience in managing a start-up enterprise. He worked with international partners to also set up and manage polymer warehousing and aviation refuelling businesses in India. In 18 years with IOT and OT he held leadership positions as IOT's CFO, OT's CFO in Hamburg and lastly as Group President of IOT's Terminalling Division. Prior to IOT, he managed corporate finance functions in Wipro and Mahindra's. He has extensive experience and concept to execution bandwidth in project structuring and development; setting up JVs, acquisitions, divestments in India, Europe, Canada, UAE; corporate and structured project finance; negotiating long-term contracts and building financial systems. He has been Board member of IOT and OT group companies in India, US, UAE, Europe and Canada.

M. A. Pathan

Co-founded Gateway in 2015. Mr. Pathan will be primary lead for Business Development, Marketing and Customer Relations in India and interfacing with embassies, industry associations and key officials. As Chairman of Indian Oil Corporation, he led its diversified growth and expansion during the critical period of dismantling of regulated pricing with revenues scaling new heights and expansion into new geographies and businesses. As Group Resident Director of Tata Group represented over 93 companies of the Group encompassing industries from salt to steel. During a tenure of over 10 years with the Tata Group he provided mentorship and guidance to various companies in the Group including TATA Indicom, Tata Steel, Tata Power, Tata Motors and Tata Industries and facilitated new business ventures for the Group including Tata Sky for marketing in India and projects in Bangladesh. He interfaced effectively between the companies and government agencies and facilitated statutory compliance for setting up new business ventures and for smooth functioning of ongoing projects. He also liaised with Embassies for opportunities both in India as well as abroad as the group had vast international exposure. Actively participated as Chairman and leading member of industry bodies such as CII, FICCI and ASSOCHAM and represented within and outside the country to attract new business propositions. He founded PetroFed, India's apex hydrocarbon industry body and Society for Preservation of Healthy Environment and Ecology and the Heritage of Agra (SPHEEHA).
