Dr. Michael Ross MacDonald

Dr. Michael Ross MacDonald is a senior consultant cardiologist with over 20 years of experience in the field. He is a graduate of the University of Glasgow and holds a number of prestigious qualifications, including the MB ChB, BSc (Hons), MRCP (UK), MD (Research), and FESC (Europe). Dr. MacDonald, renowned as one of the best cardiologists in Singapore, specializes in heart failure, preventative cardiology, and cardiac imaging, encompassing CT and MRI expertise. He is also a certified obesity physician and has a particular interest in the weight management of people with heart disease. Dr. MacDonald is a senior consultant cardiologist with expertise in heart failure and in the management of complex hypertension, hyperlipidemia and diabetes to halt coronary artery disease, prevent heart attack and stroke and increase longevity. Dr. Pinakin V Parekh

Dr. Pinakin V Parekh is a senior consultant cardiologist with over 15 years of experience in the field. He is a graduate of the National University of Singapore and holds a number of prestigious qualifications, including the MBBS (S'pore), MRCP (UK), GDFM (S'pore), FAMS (Cardiology, S'pore), and FRCP (Glasgow). Dr. Parekh is a specialist in coronary intervention - with physiology and imaging guidance (IVUS, OCT). He performs modern angioplasty techniques for complex left main bifurcations, atherectomy, and lithotripsy treatment for severely calcified lesions as well as chronic total occlusions. Dr. Parekh is a personable individual who enjoys interacting with others and is grateful for the opportunity to do so through his work in medicine. He possesses strong emotional intelligence and knows that healing someone goes beyond simply treating the ailment. The support of his family in pursuing cardiology as his passion has been crucial. As a hobby, he emcees events and finds the on-stage spontaneity needed to read and connect with audience extremely exciting. Dr. Reginald Liew

Dr. Reginald Liew is a senior consultant cardiologist with vast experience in the field of cardiovascular medicine. He is a graduate of Cambridge University and the University of London, and he holds a Ph.D from the University of London. Dr. Liew is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (UK), the European Society of Cardiology, the American College of Cardiology, the Asia-Pacific Society of Cardiology, and the Faculty of Medicine, Singapore. He is also a certified cardiac electrophysiologist, and he is one of the best cardiologists in Singapore who is also trained in the use of catheter ablation to treat cardiac arrhythmias. Dr. Liew enjoys learning about how historical events and scientific inventions have helped shape the present and future. He has always felt a need to contribute positively to society and chose to become a cardiologist as this allowed him greater diversity to both look after patients with serious heart conditions as well as reach out to the general public who may not yet have been diagnosed with heart disease but have increased risk. Dr. Liew champions medical education for the public to promote a healthy lifestyle and increase awareness of heart diseases. He enjoys playing tennis, cycling and swimming and puts into practice what he advocates to his patients by exercising three to four times a week. Dr. Liew is a senior consultant cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist. He studied medicine at Cambridge University, UK, and obtained his Bachelor (BA) and Master (MA) degrees in 1994 and 1998, respectively. He completed his clinical studies at the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals, London, UK graduating with distinction in 1997. He undertook his cardiology training at the Royal Brompton Hospital and subspecialty training in cardiac arrhythmias at St. Bartholomew's Hospital and St. George's Hospital. Dr. Liew received his UK Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2008 and was appointed Consultant Cardiologist and Senior Consultant Cardiologist at the National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS) in 2008 and 2012, respectively. He currently practices at Gleneagles Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre and Mount Elizabeth Novena Specialist Centre. Dr. Liew has been invited to be a guest and keynote speaker at many national and international meetings and has published over 100 papers and abstracts in high impact peer-reviewed journals. He is a keen health educator and continues to give talks at regional and international meetings on heart disease and heart rhythm disorders.
