InControl UK was founded in 2003 by a small group of people who wanted to make life better for people with family members with disabilities in Wigan, Lancashire. Their work with self-directed support was so influential that it resulted in massive social welfare reform throughout the United Kingdom. The UK now has a long-term care system that is entirely based on self-directed support... InControl Wisconsin a member of InControl International. InControl International is an extensive community of people and organizations working together to share learning on self-directed support. InControl now operates in the following countries: Scotland, Wales, Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, Czech Republic, USA, Italy, Russia, and Finland... InControl Wisconsin, Inc. provides training and builds shared learning on self-directed support in partnership with citizens with disabilities, families, advocates, and agencies.
