Beena Sharma

Beena Sharma is widely recognized for her achievements in successfully conceptualizing, developing, and delivering systemic Leadership Development efforts. She is Founder and President of the Center for Leadership Maturity, a global service enterprise committed to facilitating vertical development in individuals, teams, and organizations, and Founder of the Institute for Polarities and Paradox. Beena is a core faculty member at the Polarity Mastery Program. She is trained in using Real Time Strategic Change (RTSC) methodologies, is a certified Action Learning Team Coach and has led several projects in leadership development using Action Reflection Learning (ARL) as an associate consultant with LIM LLC, and on the faculty at the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL).

Beth Furgurson

Passionate about building relationships, Beth enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team. As Business Support Coordinator, Beth assists our growing team with all of the logistics needed to keep things running smoothly. Prior to joining InnerWill, Beth was the Executive Director of an organization dedicated to helping small, local food businesses grow. She facilitated events that brought the community together, and helped small businesses owners make meaningful connections. She also currently serves as the board Co-chair of a local farmers market. Beth is a graduate of James Madison University where she captained the Division 1 women's soccer team. She worked in marketing in the professional soccer world for a few years, but then decided to follow her creative passion by studying photography at the Art Institute of Atlanta - leading to owning her own photography business for 16 years. She is a Richmond native and lives in Bon Air with her husband and son.

Betsey Fortlouis

She is passionate about relationship building and fostering connections with family businesses and families to drive impact through Values Based Leadership. Britten Parker

Britten Parker is a Facilitator and Leadership Coach with InnerWill. Britten is an experienced trainer, facilitator, and coach specializing in Values Based Leadership. She is talented at connecting with audiences with her energy and down-to-earth approach. She especially loves helping individuals discover their core values and helping groups and organizations gain alignment to be more effective. Britten's ability to connect with audiences quickly and invest in organizations deeply positions her well to do both keynote speaking and work with long term clients committed to deep culture change within their organizations. Britten has expertise in using a variety of instruments to help organizations manage their cultures. She supports Luck Companies and external clients in the administration of Associate Engagement Surveys as well as supporting implementation plans for improvement. Britten earned a Bachelor's of Science from James Madison University, a master's degree in Counselor education from University of Virginia, and a certification in business coaching from North Carolina State University. She spent several years working in higher education focusing on leadership development in the undergraduate population before transitioning into a role at Luck Companies in 2005 to focus on creating a culture rich in values.

Charles S. Luck, IV

As President and CEO of Luck Companies, Charlie Luck is the third-generation Luck family member to lead the privately held and family-owned organization founded in 1923. Charlie collaborates with the chief officers to develop the people, organization, strategy, and future direction for the company in alignment with the company's mission of "igniting human potential through Values Based Leadership and positively impacting the lives of others around the world." Charlie is currently serving as Immediate Past Chairman of the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association.

Christopher Yates

Chris Yates serves as the Chief Talent Office for Ford Motor Company, and has led Values Based Leadership efforts in several organizations, including Caterpillar and Microsoft. His diverse range of experience also includes founding Ethical Organizational Design, a consulting organization in the UK that promotes ethical values in business and beyond. Chris has co-authored two books, "Rewire: A Radical Approach to Tackling Diversity and Difference", and "Share: How Organizations Can Thrive in an Age of Networked Knowledge, Power and Relationships".

David Bork

David Bork pioneered the integration of Family Systems Theory with sound business practice in his career as a family business consultant. His profile of the families who practice constructive behaviors - who remain positively connected and successful in business - has been researched and validated by objective, university-based studies. In his practice, he encourages clients to take the long view in their business planning, a strategy that has served them very well. David's level of expertise is balanced by his modest, friendly, and approachable style. He has worked with clients in multiple countries on six continents and loves to find the best local coffee shop in each of the places he visits.

Dennis Jaffe

Dennis Jaffe works with multigenerational families to develop governance practices and the capability of next generation leadership, and to develop the capability of financial organizations and family offices to serve their family clients. He is conducting a study of long-term family enterprises, resulting in the working papers, "Good Fortune: Building a Hundred Year Family Enterprise," and "Best Practices of Successful, Global, Multi-Generational Family Enterprises." He is now in third phase of that project, interviewing 100 hundred-year-old global families. Also active in nonprofit governance, Dennis has served on the boards of the World Business Academy, Saybrook University, and the Center for Mind-Body Medicine, and as President of the Association of Humanistic Psychology.

Dr. Michaela R. Bearden

Michaela Ranaldi Bearden is InnerWill's Associate Director of Business Development where she is responsible for partnering with our clients to ensure impact and long-term results. Michaela led the Center for Corporate Education at Virginia Commonwealth University for seven years where she cultivated sustainable partnerships and leadership programs throughout the greater Richmond region. She has led multiple international workshops focused on entrepreneurship and innovation, mainly in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Michaela holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from VCU, a Masters in Counselor Education from VCU and a Bachelors in Science from Elon University.

Dr. Thomas Epperson - President

Dr. Thomas Epperson is the President of InnerWill Leadership Institute and has over twenty years of experience as a leadership coach, facilitator, and speaker, and regularly works with organizations, family businesses and the families behind them to help transform their leadership. Tom is a certified business coach and has a Doctorate in Leadership from The George Washington University. Tom is currently an adjunct instructor in Virginia Commonwealth Universities' Executive MBA Program.

Greg McCann

As a consultant, coach, presenter, author and professor, Greg McCann has worked to develop leaders in family enterprises, including family offices. The emphasis of his work is on developing leaders to have increased capacity, greater agility, and stronger values-alignment, which are all necessary to lead in the complexity of today's world. His passion for the work combines a need for intimacy with the client coupled with the need for innovation in design and delivery. Jack Mitchell

Jack Mitchell is Chairman of Mitchell Stores (Mitchells/Richards/ Wilkes/Marios), a three-generation family business that operates men's and women's specialty stores in Connecticut, New York, California, Washington and Oregon. Under Jack's leadership, the Michell Stores have become well known for employee engagement and longevity, and for providing exceptional customer service and high-quality merchandise. In 2003, Jack launched a second career as an author and speaker. He has keynoted events for Morgan Stanley, Conde Nast, Merrill Lynch, Nike, Starbucks, and Harvard University (to name a few), where he engages audiences with Hug Your Customers/ Hug Your People/Selling the Hug Your Customers Way presentations. Jack has appeared on The NBC Today Show, and Kudlow & Cramer TV show as well as numerous radio interviews and articles. In April 2005, INC Magazine listed Jack as one of the "26 Entrepreneurs We Love". Jack has been honored with Community Leadership Awards from the Anti-Defamation league, The Menswear Division of UJA-Federation of New York, and Sacred Heart University. He is on the Yale Cancer Board and Greenwich Hospital Board of Trustees. Jack has a BA from Wesleyan University and an MA at the University of California-Berkeley in Chinese History. He has been happily married for over 50 years and has four sons and seven grandchildren.

Kelly Lewis

Kelly Lewis, PCC, is Principal of Lewis Leadership Group, a leadership development and coaching firm committed to helping organizations and individuals uncover their power and joy. Kelly leverages her in-depth knowledge of Polarity Thinking coupled with her fifteen years as a Fortune 500 executive to understand the complexity and context her clients lead within. She helps her clients navigate that complexity by expanding their perspectives and increasing their capacity for courageous action. Kelly is honored to serve on Georgetown's Institute for Transformational Leadership faculty and as the Co-Director of the Certificate in Navigating Polarities program. She is a contributing author to On Becoming a Leadership Coach (2008) and author of Navigating Polarities: An Introduction to Transforming Complex Tensions the first book in the Polarities: And series, due out this fall. Larry Mills

Larry Mills is the founder of Holt Development Services, Inc., and Executive Vice President of the Holt Companies. Larry serves on the Board of Directors for the San Antonio Spurs, LLC, Clarity Child Guidance Center, and Children's Hospital of San Antonio Foundation.

Roy Goodman

Sharon Amoss

With almost 20 years of experience in Values Based Leadership, Sharon practices VBL in her role as our Director of Operations and shares the practice of VBL with our clients through one-on-one and small group facilitation. She particularly enjoys working with teams to help them navigate conflict and leverage each members' individual strengths. As our Director of Operations, Sharon uses her business training and experience to ensure our internal processes are running smoothly and allowing us to do our best work for our clients. Sharon holds an MBA from William & Mary's Mason School of Business, and is certified in the Korn Ferry Emotional & Social Compentency model and assessment. Sharon's leadership is guided by personal core values of justice, compassion, and growth, and motivated by a vision of a better and wiser world where each of us are free to express and contribute our unique gifts. Sylvester Taylor

Before entering private consulting, Sylvester Taylor was Senior Manager, Intellectual Property Development at the Center for Creative Leadership where he led and facilitated teams responsible for new product development. In addition, he trained professionals on the use of CCL 360 assessments, facilitated feedback, and coaching to groups and individuals at the highest leadership levels, and conducted research and published about leadership, and leadership development. Sylvester has extensive experience designing and implementing 360-degree feedback projects, facilitating feedback sessions for hundreds of successful executives, and helping organizations gain value by leveraging their talent management strategies and competency model initiatives. Throughout his more than thirty years in human resources, he has written, edited, and published numerous articles in scholarly and professional journals on issues related to creativity, leadership development, psychological measurement, and organizational effectiveness. An article co-authored by Sylvester won the Scientific Contributions Award given by the Human Resources Division of the Academy of Management. Prior to coming to the Center in 1989, Sylvester held positions in administration and as an Instructor at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill teaching courses in Psychology and Statistics. Sylvester holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and Industrial Relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed extensive graduate coursework (ABD) in the doctoral program in Social Psychology at UNC-CH including advanced courses in psychometrics, psychology, and adult education.

Wanda Ortwine

She has a passion for helping leaders develop a culture of engaging employee experiences and has a unique knack for identifying the strengths of others and helping them reach their highest potential. Wendy believes that nothing great is ever achieved without enthusiasm. Her enthusiastic, optimistic, and animated style enables her to create a dynamic and energetic training environment enabling her to elicit fresh perspectives and solutions from her clients. She loves to share her practical insights on how to recognize and develop leadership in our businesses, our communities, our homes, and ourselves. Wendy is originally from Louisiana, and she remains true to her roots by loving all foods that are fried, the New Orleans Saints, and still believes saying ma'am and sir are the utmost signs of respect. Currently she resides in Mechanicsville, VA where she and her husband are having a blast raising their two teenage boys to be brave young men of character.
