Janie S. Mershon

Licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Janie has been practicing law since 2005. She focuses her practice in the areas of Estate Planning, Real Estate and Family Law. In the past years, Janie has prepared numerous estate plans, large and small, represented residential and commercial buyers at title closings, settled large suits with major utility and gas companies, represented both the plaintiff and defendants in real estate litigation and has handled divorces that divided assets reaching seven figures. Janie takes great pride in her personal client-focused approach to legal matters. She gets results while also taking the time to understand every aspect of a client's needs. Janie Mershon began her law career as an intern in the Public Defender's Office and then the District Attorney's Office in Chester County. She also interned for the Honorable Katherine B. L. Platt, in the Common Pleas Family Court of Chester County. Janie is a certified child advocate and a trained mediator. She has worked as an adjunct professor at Drexel University teaching Higher Education and the Law. Having both an undergraduate and graduate degree in Psychology, and a prior career working for a company that was launched by and on the principles of Dr. Martin Seligman, PhD, Janie does public speaking in the areas of resilience, strategic thinking and communications. Janie's extensive background in psychology uniquely prepares her to be a highly effective attorney. In addition to her work achievements, Janie is a volunteer attorney and past six year member on the board of The Support Center for Child Advocates in Philadelphia and is a past board member of the Drexel University Parents' Council under the direction of President John Fry. Most recently, Janie has joined the advisory board of the Greater Allentown YMCA, where her father was a 45 year member.
