Angela Louie

Legato Law welcomed Angela Louie in 2019. With a background in computer science and a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin, she began her career as a software engineer. She ultimately opted to change careers and made the shift to the nonprofit sector, where she worked as an administrator for an organization that serves orphans in China. Given the scope and strength of her engineering and managerial background, Ms. Louie brings a logical, systematic approach to the preparation and processing of legal documents. Her strong interpersonal skills lead to clear communication and ensure the comfort level of clients. She is fluent in both English and Cantonese and has a working understanding of Mandarin.

Bryan Munks

Bryan Munks joined the Legato Law group in 2021, bringing fresh ideas and an innovative perspective to estate planning. A graduate of Santa Clara Law School, he focused on international litigation and conflicts and served as an articles editor for the Journal of International Law. Mr. Munks' legal experience ranges from civil litigation to estate planning. He began his career as a clerk for the Honorable Judge Mark Forcum at the California Superior Court, County of San Mateo, and worked previously in the arena of trusts and wills.

Eileen Magtibay

Eileen Magtibay brings a wealth of family law and court experience to the Legato Law team. After graduating at the top of her class at University of San Francisco School of Law and serving as a senior member of the USF Law Review, she was admitted to the California State Bar in 2014. Ms. Magtibay began her legal career as a post-bar clerk at the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco and as a law clerk in the Family Law Division at California Superior Court, County of San Mateo. During her superior court tenure, she worked with probate court judges on cases involving trusts, wills, conservatorships, and guardianships. Since 2015, Ms. Magtibay has focused solely on estate planning, probate administration, and trust administration. Also dedicated to serving the community, she volunteers with the Filipino Bar Association of Northern California and the Asian American Bar Association at free legal clinics throughout the Bay Area.

Geoffrey Lee - Founder

Geoffrey Lee is the principal attorney and founder of Legato Law, which he established in 2015. He enhances the firm's offerings with several definitive areas of expertise, including his distinction as a certified specialist in estate planning, trusts, and probate law. His work is widely commended by clients who find comfort in his ability to bring clarity to a complex process. With attention to detail and a skilled understanding of every aspect of estate legal affairs, Mr. Lee provides the knowledge and support necessary to provide clients with the help they require. His professional talents are complemented by vast international business experience, including previous employment in multinational corporations in Singapore, Hong Kong, San Francisco, and New York. As a result of his extensive overseas business travels and family background, he is fluent in several languages and dialects, including Mandarin, Cantonese, and Shanghainese. This knowledge of languages and culture, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enables him to meet the needs of ethnically diverse clients who might not otherwise be able to conduct their legal business with complete comfort and confidence.

Lucy Tait

With more than 20 years of experience in the high-tech and small-business industries, Lucy Tait has the finely tuned leadership and communication skills to keep Legato Law running smoothly, efficiently, and productively. Her attention to detail and client-focused, results-driven approach to business combine to ensure superior customer service. Skilled at managing information systems, she is also a notary public with fluency in English, Spanish, and Italian.

Nelly Ho

Nelly Ho supports the Legato Law attorneys with all aspects of estate planning, probate proceedings, and trust administration. Originally from Taipei, she received her Bachelor of Law degree from Chinese Culture University in Taiwan in 2013. She attended the University of California, Irvine in 2016, where she studied business administration. In 2021, she earned her paralegal Associate of Art degree from Pasadena City College. Ms. Ho's cultural and academic history enables her to work effectively with Chinese-speaking clients, counsels, and local administrative authorities on overseas estate and tax issues. Currently residing in Pasadena, she serves as the initial contact person for the firm's clients in Southern California. Ms. Ho is fluent in both English and Mandarin. Roxana Poon

Roxana Poon has augmented Legato Law's offerings since 2020. As the firm's office assistant, she is the primary point of contact for both existing and potential clients. Responsible for scheduling, compiling documentation, and preparing information packages, she possesses the detail-oriented administrative skills that enrich the client experience. Ms. Poon attended University of Waterloo in Canada, where she majored in computer science. She is fluent in Cantonese and English.
