Amanda Munro

Amanda Munro is a co-founding partner of Munro/Thompson. With a decade of experience working in corporate communications and public relations, Amanda has a successful track record of developing effective strategies and delivering strong results. From media relations, issues management, government relations and community engagement, Amanda has been a part of numerous campaigns and projects that have brought increased awareness and positive outcomes for clients. Building on her Public Relations degree from Mount Saint Vincent University, Amanda has extensive experience working for and with governments, First Nations, corporate organizations and not-for-profit societies. Amanda is currently a Director for the Vancouver Chapter of the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS Vancouver).

Andrew Park

Andrew Park is an associate at Munro/Thompson. Often working behind the scenes, Andrew focuses on research and critical analysis, writing and video production. Andrew brings his academic research expertise to support in all areas of our clients' communications projects, providing relevant background information to craft narratives and assist in crisis management and mitigation. Andrew holds a Master of Arts degree in Analytic Philosophy from the University of Victoria and has developed content for a wide range of written mediums such as op-eds in major newspapers to film and video productions. Andrew has worked on projects for regional districts, local and First Nations governments, regional land use groups, health resources organizations, real estate developers and property assessment firms.

Brandon Thompson

Brandon Thompson has a communications background with a focus on photography and videography, making him a natural director of the creative projects at Munro Thompson. His role includes managing, directing and crafting the storytelling elements that are required to effectively communicate messages and tell our clients' stories in a compelling and truly representative way. As such, Brandon also facilitates project and business development. He is frequently in the field scoping locations, conducting interviews, acquiring assets and information, and building relationships. Outside of work, Brandon is an avid cyclist and outdoorsman. He also always ensures he's current on local social and political issues.

Chris Martin

Chris is a software engineer with a lifetime of experience in programming, system design, network communications and agile methodologies. Chris' technical experience is unparallelled. His use of leading edge technologies, creative thinking, and operational understanding makes him a valuable asset to any team.

Chris Miller

Job Titles:

Chris is a digital media specialist and video content editor, focusing on the narrative development through audio and video. Chris is involved in the wide range of creative products at Munro/Thompson. His experience in film production and media integration provides polished outputs for digital assets used by clients to tell their stories. Chris is also instrumental for projects that involve written content, production planning, and narrative development. With a creative writing degree from Thompson Rivers University, Chris has worked on a wide variety of projects from sports videos for sponsorships, vignettes and corporate videos, to feature length motion pictures and documentaries. His work has been used in areas related to resource development, regional branding, municipal politics, First Nations, and feature film production.

David Peacock

David began to make short films while attending UBCO and obtaining a degree in English & Film Studies. After graduating, David travelled the globe for 3 years making action sports films for clients such as Red Bull, Legs of Steel, Volkl Skis, Marker Bindings, Oakley and more. Now, he resides in the city of Vancouver, and focuses his efforts on producing and directing films in conjunction with clients such as Red Bull Media House, Big White Ski Resort, and Munro Thompson.

Emily Marroquin

Emily is a strategic communications specialist and consultant at Munro/Thompson. Emily brings her public relations acumen, critical writing, editing skill set, and academic research background to the team. Her public relations experience lends a key skill-set to message and strategy development and her aptitude for critical thinking helps clients with issues management and crisis situations. Emily received a Public Relations certificate from SFU after having completed her Master of Arts in English Literature from UBC. Emily has successfully developed and implemented numerous marketing and communications plans, and her work is currently being used by a wide variety of organizations, including local and regional governments, First Nations, health resources, non-profit and consumer relations groups.

Emma Shea

Emma Shea is a senior stakeholder engagement and Accredited Public Relations professional with over 12 years of experience in strategic planning, implementation and overall management of consultation and engagement programs. Emma has worked on dozens of major resource and infrastructure projects from mining, to natural gas facilities, to gas and liquids pipelines, to hydroelectric dam projects. Emma's certificate in Emotion and Outrage in Public Participation (EOP2) with IAP2 has supported her practical execution of working with community groups on sensitive, high-risk and often highly-emotional communication issues. Emma has experience managing a volunteer Board, serving the Vancouver Chapter of the Canadian Public Relations Society for the past six years, currently as Past President.

Joel Kadziolka

Joel is the creative director a graphic design specialist for Munro/Thompson. Joel leads development of creative and visual assets for digital and printed content. He is an expert in all areas of marketing and advertising, from concept creation to brand execution and development of large scale integrated campaigns. Joel's visual elements create the appropriate framework to amplify key messaging and client narratives. After attending the University of Alberta for a Bachelor of Design, Joel quickly delved into a rich and award-winning background in the magazine publishing world. In his over 13 years as a designer or creative director, he has lead corporate branding and marketing projects for apparel, real estate, governments and post-secondary institutions.

Liam Mullany

Liam is a filmmaker and director of photography based in Vancouver, BC. His focus is on filming natural scenes with an amazing degree of clarity and artistry. His client list includes Destination BC, Forbes, Canada Goose, Tim Hortons, Tourism Australia, Toyota, Adidas, The North Face, Rocky Mountain Bikes, Trek, Specialized and more. Liam has received over 10 of Vimeo's prestigious "Staff Picks" for his numerous projects, including 2 recently being nominated for "Best of the Year." Liam's fantastic eye for story, detail and composition has established him as one of British Columbia's pre-eminent directors and outdoor cinematographers.

Moriah Andreas

With extensive experience in all things project management and a background in international relations, she approaches all she does with intention, adaptability, and passion. Her aptitude for business development, research and leadership play a pivotal role in our projects, communications and productions. In her downtime, Moriah can be found cycling around the city, pitching a tent in the mountains, or cooking up a storm for her closest friends.

Neil Johnston

With 20 years of experience in technology, Neil Johnston's career has spanned software and web development for organizations like Warner Music Group, NetScape and OpenStack, including positions in product and project management, product design, data visualization, and geographically enabled software. As a former Chief Technical Officer to three companies, and Director of Product Design to one, Neil brings a breadth of knowledge spanning business, process, design, technical architecture, and usability to the team. Neil has also been an automotive and motorcycle journalist, and a story board artist for film, television and animation, allowing him to balance a projects technological and aesthetic requirements.

Nolan Demich

Nolan is an entrepreneur, artist and designer with 20 years experience in the graphic design, marketing and digital world. Nolan's approach to design blends classic fundamentals with current styles, creating artwork and design that pushes the boundaries of creativity. When not working, you'll find Nolan engaging in some of his favourite outdoor activities - kayaking, lake swimming and hiking - or feeding his artistic inclinations through film photography and recording music.

Nolan McAllister

Nolan McAllister is the principal of Alpha-Omega Productions, a 100% Aboriginal-owned video production company, who has worked on a variety of productions from independent films, television series and major blockbusters. Nolan is a creative director, producer, marketer, camera operator and editor. At Thompson Rivers University, Nolan studied technical theatre and digital photography and has participated in various programs in filmmaking. Some of his previous clients include BC Assembly of First Nations, Indigenous Corporate Training Inc., Free the Children, Wet Ape Productions and Shark Club Kamloops. Nolan is the 2015 recipient of the All Nations Trust Company Youth Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Samantha Haugen

Samantha (Sam) Haugen is the latest addition to the Munro/Thompson team. Sam has experience in the tourism industry from her time working with her Nation, Huu-ay-aht First Nations, where she was involved in their social media marketing and economic development. Currently, Sam is a full time student at Vancouver Island University, where she is going into her fourth year of the Bachelor's Degree in Tourism Management. Along with her BA she is also obtaining a Major in Recreation and a Minor in Marketing. In the future, Sam hopes to further her education within the business field in public relations, communications and marketing. Sam is a proud Huu-ay-aht First Nations woman and loves connecting to her ancestry origins in Pachena Bay and Bamfield. When not studying or working, Sam enjoys the outdoors, travelling and experiencing new cultures and of course, eating amazing food.
