In the spring of 2010, my heart stopped for 25 seconds. I was taken into the hospital for an urgent pacemaker surgery when a voice came over the sound system. They said a biker had been hit by a car and the ambulance was on it's way to the hospital. He was rushed past my room, surrounded by nurses and doctors, and sent into operation.
