MERT RESEARCH GROUP

The Mert lab is focused on the development of nano delivery systems to make anticancer drugs based therapies more effective via biomaterial-based nanoparticles to specific sites in the body. A focus of our research is to create a new multi-functional nano-treatment systems providing diagnosis, goal-oriented treatment and monitoring response to treatment at the same time by means of boron effective polymeric biomaterials. Anti-cancer drug loaded nanoparticles produced by novel biodegradable biocompatible polymers may have an opportunity for the treatment of many cancer species.
