NORTHSHORE MIDWIVES AND LACTATION CONSULTING - Key Persons
Hello! My name is Ashley and I was drawn into midwifery and birth work after having a negative experience with providers following the loss of my first pregnancy. I was determined to have a better experience when I became pregnant the second time with my daughter. My midwives advocated for me during my birth and held my hand throughout my entire pregnancy and postpartum journey that I wanted nothing more than to make this the norm for all birthing people. Thus, a midwife was born! I graduated with my Master of Science in Midwifery from Bastyr University in 2023 where I also studied herbal medicine for the perinatal period. Apart from midwifery, I have experience as a birth doula and am also a childbirth educator, birth photographer, placenta encapsulator, and certified lactation educator working towards becoming a lactation consultant. I am also a board member and secretary of the Midwives' Association of Washington State and hope to be one of many voices that progresses this profession. I'm glad that I've found my passion in midwifery and hope to provide safe, supportive, and exceptional care to all individuals regardless of their race, beliefs, social status, sexual orientation or identity.
