NYPD MONITOR

The Monitor team continues its focus on accountability. The Monitor team has observed Early Intervention Committee meetings and will meet with the NYPD to determine what changes can be made, in particular with respect to Commanding Officers taking responsibility for their officers. The NYPD is also developing a compliance program, ComplianceStat, which is ongoing... The Monitor plans to release a report in first quarter 2024 on racial disparities in policing practices. The NYPD is developing a dashboard to monitor and audit officers' stop-and-frisk practices... The NYPD Monitor Team works to ensure that the NYPD engages in constitutional stops, frisks, and searches in their policies and practices.
