I'm Ed Fairfield and am proud and privileged to be a Governor for Pinders Primary School.
I've worked with Pinders for several years, supporting the school with technology and ICT to improve teaching and learning as part of my role as Head of Education at Elementary Technology. We've worked hard to support Craig and his colleagues to make the most of the technology in the school and we're proud to have played a part in its success.
Since first visiting the school in 2017 I've loved the energy and enthusiasm in the school community, and also found it fascinating how the school successfully brings together children of so many languages and cultures.
I'm also a Trustee for Naace, a charity dedicated to helping schools use technology to advance education.
John's background is in social care. Initially working for Wakefield Council as a social worker and social work manager, he subsequently became self-employed and is presently the Managing Partner of a dementia and mental health care facility.
He is a Director of Leeds Care Association and the dementia representative on the Leeds Dementia Partnership.
John's other interests include education (he is a governor at two local schools), community development (he is a Director of Eastmoor Community Project) and sport (he is an active Director at Wakefield Trinity and an original member of Huddersfield Town Blue and White Foundation).
John welcomes the opportunity to contribute to the work of Pinders Primary which he sees as a genuine community school, striving hard in every way to achieve the very best possible outcomes for our local children and their families.
My name is Samehra Javed and I moved to Wakefield in 2011. I have over 17 years of teaching experience and I run my own tutoring business. I have 2 children at Pinders Primary School. The eldest is in year 6 and the other is in year 3. Both my children are bright and high achievers thanks to the support they received/ and are still receiving at the school.
