Charlie Hogan

Charlie Hogan joined the Florida State Athletic Department in 2012. He holds a leadership role in Student-Athlete Academic Services, where his administrative duties include oversight of athletic academic advisors, execution of the class checking program, coordinating the degree completion program for former student-athletes, and directing the award-winning Student-Athlete Academic Services Academic Fellowship program. Hogan provides counseling and guidance to student-athletes regarding academic development as well as monitoring eligibility, advisement, and assisting in the recruitment of all prospective student-athletes. Prior to coming to Florida State, Hogan worked at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the University of Wyoming, and Louisiana Tech University. He has served as an academic advisor for thirteen different sports during his career. Hogan worked six years in Monroe, Louisiana's sports talk radio market. He worked as a play-by-play talent for collegiate and high school football, basketball, and baseball broadcasts there. Hogan also was an on-air producer for the Louisiana Tech, LSU, and Grambling State radio networks. Hogan is a two-time Louisiana Tech University graduate, earning a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems and a master's degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology. He earned additional graduate degrees from Florida State in Business Administration and Sport Management. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in Learning Design and Performance Technology. Hogan serves as an adjunct instructor at Florida State. Hogan is an active National Association of Athletic Advisors (N4A) member. A native of Choudrant, Louisiana, Hogan and his wife Jennifer have three children - Ethan, Everly, and Liam.

Cheyenne Noli

Cheyenne joined the Florida State University Student-Athlete Academic Services Staff in June 2022. Prior to arriving at Florida State, Cheyenne served as a graduate assistant in Athletic Academic Support Services at Mississippi State from 2020-2022 while earning her master's degree in Sport Administration. During her time at Mississippi State, she assisted in academic support services with 4 teams: football, baseball, and men's and women's golf. Her duties included student meetings, tracking daily academic progress, advising, monitoring progress towards degree, and meeting with coaches. Cheyenne attended California State University, Northridge from 2016-2020 where she was a softball student-athlete. She majored in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Sport Studies. Cheyenne is a native of Chandler, Arizona.

Colette Yamaoka

Colette Yamaoka joined the Florida State University Student-Athlete Academic Services Staff in May 2023. Colette received a master's degree in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership from the University of Washington in May 2023. While pursuing her degree, she was an Assistant Learning Specialist in Academics for Student-Athletes at Oregon State University. Colette completed her undergrad at Oregon State University, receiving a bachelor's degree in biology in June 2022. During her time at Oregon State University, she was a member of the women's gymnastics team.

Corey Talley

Prior to FSU, he worked at the University of Arizona as a Senior Academic Counselor. He worked with Football Defense, Women's Track & Field, and Men's Swim & Dive. In addition to his academic counselor role, Corey served on the ICA Inclusive Excellence Council. This program focused on enriching departmental and institutional equity, diversity and inclusion for both staff and student athletes. Prior to joining the C.A.T.S. Academics team, Talley was an intern in the Florida State University Student-Athlete Academic Services department. There, he worked specifically with Track and Field and Softball. A native of Williamsburg, VA., Talley holds a B.S. Degree in Sport Management and a M.A. Degree in Higher Education Administration, both from West Virginia University. Corey is a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors (N4A) as well as a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.

Diamond Brown

Diamond Brown rejoined the Florida State SAAS Department in December 2021. She currently serves as the Director of Educational Services. Her duties include oversight of the educational services program, which encompasses learning specialists, tutoring, and academic mentoring. Prior to joining the FSU Student-Athlete Academic Services (SAAS) staff, Diamond served as the Assistant Director of Learning Resources at the University of Washington; as well as previous stints at Florida State and Clemson. She has worked as a learning specialist with a variety of sports including football, men's basketball, men's rowing, men's soccer, men's baseball, men's and women's track and field/cross country, women's golf, volleyball and beach volleyball. Brown is an active member of the National Association of Athletic Advisors (N4A); where she was one of the recipients of the 2021 Kenneth Miles Professional Promise Award. She is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Dr. Regina Johnson

Regina Johnson joined the Florida State University Athletic Department as Director of Football Academics in July 2019 after serving seven years at the University of Louisville as Assistant Director of Academics. At Louisville, Regina received her Master's Degree in Sport Administration in 2014 and continued to work exclusively with the football program, guiding student-athletes toward developing academic and graduation plans, monitoring their academic progress, and helping them become well-rounded individuals. During her time with the University of Louisville football, the program has received NCAA APR Public Recognition Award for ranking in the top ten percent for APR multi-year, earned the highest team GPA in Louisville football history, and received 1000 APR score twice. Her belief is that it is our responsibility to not only direct student-athletes toward completing their degrees, but also guide them to know how to prepare and communicate with leaders in the professional world. While at the University of Louisville, she was a Staff Senator, Athletic Diversity and Inclusion Committee member and a frequent guest lecturer on campus. She is also an active member in the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A), N4A's Ethnic Concerns Committee, and Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA). Prior to Louisville, Regina earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management from the University of Tennessee- Knoxville. She worked as a Student Assistant to the Head Coach for Men's Basketball at the University of Tennessee. She assisted in organizing activities such as: mock interviews, career workshops, orientations, community involvement projects, academic tutoring and CHAMPS/Life Skills events for student-athletes and staff.

Isabelle Austin

Isabelle joined the Florida State University Student-Athlete Academic Services Staff in June 2022. Prior to arriving at Florida State, Isabelle earned both bachelor's degrees in Finance and Accounting from Tennessee Technology University. While pursuing her degrees, she worked as a Head Athletic Tutor for the TTU Athletics Department. In this role, she worked closely with at-risk student-athletes, mainly athletes from football, men's basketball, track & field, and volleyball. At Tennessee Tech, Isabelle was a 6-year goalkeeper of the women's soccer team, serving as captain for the final 3 years of her career. She currently holds the record for the best save percentage in a single season with a .891 SV%. She received the President's Award at Tennessee Tech for the year 2021. Isabelle is a native of Toledo, Ohio.

Jackie Belle

Jackie Gabbard Belle joined the FSU Student-Athlete Academic Services (SAAS) team in January of 2020 and currently serves as the Academic Advisor for Men's Tennis, Swimming & Diving, and Women's Tennis. . She also teaches SLS 3360: Life After Sport (2 credits); a professional development course for junior and senior student-athletes. Jackie started working for SAAS as an undergraduate student, serving as a tutor for multiple subject areas. Jackie previously worked as a Career Advisor at the FSU Career Center for five years, and as a Workplace Learning Coordinator at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina. Jackie earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Sciences, and her Master of Science and Education Specialist degrees in Counseling, both from Florida State University. She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A) and member of the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). Jackie is a Tallahassee native, and both her dad and brother played football for FSU. Jackie and her husband, Josh, have one child and enjoy spending time outdoors with family and pets.

Kayla Hughes

Kayla Hughes joined the Florida State University Student-Athlete Academic Services Staff in May 2023. She began as an academic fellow working with track & field before transitioning into her current role in February 2024. Prior to Florida State University, Kayla served as the tutor coordinator and a temporary academic advisor for the Student-Athlete Academic Enhancement Center at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Kayla received a master's degree in sport management from the University of West Georgia in May 2022. While pursuing her degree, she was a member of the softball team for one season (2020-21) and served as the graduate assistant softball coach for another season (2021-22). Kayla attended Tennessee Technological University where she received a bachelor's in special education in May 2020. During her time at Tennessee Tech, she was a member of the softball team. Kayla was selected and participated in the 2024 NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar. Kayla is a native of Chickamauga, Georgia.

Kenneth Towns joined the Florida State University Student-Athlete Academic Services Staff in January 2022. Prior to Florida State University, he worked at the University of Georgia and Mississippi State University. He has worked as academic counselor for a variety of sports including football, track, tennis and golf. He provided counseling and guidance to student-athletes regarding advisement and assisting in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes. At the University of Georgia, Kenneth graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Management and master's degree in Sports Management. Kenneth was a wide receiver on the UGA football team from 2012-2016. Kenneth is a native of Albany, Georgia.

Lauren Day

Lauren Day joined the Florida State University Student-Athlete Academic Services Staff in September 2022. Prior to FSU, she worked at Eastern Michigan University as an academic advisor for the Women's Basketball, Women's Volleyball, and Men's Basketball teams. Lauren also served as the advisor for Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and additional student-athlete development programming. While at EMU, Lauren earned a master's degree in Business Administration. Prior to FSU, she worked at Eastern Michigan University as an academic advisor for the Women's Basketball, Women's Volleyball, and Men's Basketball teams. Lauren also served as the advisor for Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and additional student-athlete development programming. While at EMU, Lauren earned a master's degree in Business Administration. Before her time at EMU, Lauren worked as an intern in student-athlete support at the University of Florida where she assisted academic advising and, in the student-athlete enhancement department. Lauren was a member of the Troy University Women's Basketball team from 2013 - 2017 where she earned her bachelor's degree in Business Marketing. She is a native of Niceville, Florida.

Miguel Negron

Miguel Negron joined the Florida State University Student-Athlete Academic Services (SAAS) Staff in September 2021 as the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Studies/Associate Athletics Director. His duties include oversight of both the SAAS staff and day to day operations of the Student-Athlete Academic Support Programs and SAAS facilities. He also serves as academic advisor for Beach Volleyball and the secondary sport administrator for Baseball and Women's Basketball. Prior to Florida State, Miguel spent time at Mississippi State University, the University of Louisville, and the University of Central Florida, working at every level of Athletic Academic Support beginning in January 2011. He began his career as a Graduate Assistant in Athletic Academic Services at the University of Louisville, receiving a M.S. in Sport Administration in May 2012. Once his assistantship concluded, Miguel transitioned to the 2012-2013 academic year as an Academic Coordinator with the football program at the University of Central Florida. Miguel then returned to the University of Louisville as an Academic Counselor working primarily with football from September 2013 to February 2017. Most recently he served as the Associate Director for the Office of Athletic Academics at Mississippi State University from March 2017 to August 2021, where he oversaw all aspects of academic support for the football and women's basketball programs while serving as a member of the leadership team and coordinating the bulldogs back on track degree completion program. Additionally, while at Mississippi State, Miguel served on the Athletic Diversity & Inclusion Council from January 2019 to August 2021, then as co-chair and facilitator for the 2020-2021 academic year. Miguel is also an active member in the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A). Miguel graduated with a B.A. in Business Management from Goucher College (2009) in Baltimore, MD. While at Goucher (NCAA - Division III), he was a member of the basketball team and served as Team Captain for his senior season. Miguel is a native of Bel Air, MD.

Stacey Wicker

Stacey Wicker joined the Florida State Student-Athlete Academic Services (SAAS) team in August 2020 as a Strategic Academic Mentor and currently serves on our Learning Specialist team. Stacey received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in special education from Florida State University. She started as a classroom teacher in ESE and general education settings. While working in the K-12 setting, Stacey continued her education at Nova Southeastern University, earning an Educational Specialist degree (Ed.S.) in Educational Leadership. Prior to Florida State University, she served as Principal/Administrator in the K-12 setting. She has served on various School Advisory Councils and accreditation teams. Stacey is a member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A) and serves on our LYFE team. Stacey and her husband, Robert have eight children. Wicker is a native of Coral Springs, Florida.

Sydney Martin

Sydney Martin joined the Florida State Student Athlete Academic Services (SAAS) Department as a Learning Specialist in January 2022 before transitioning to her current position as a Senior Academic Advisor for Football. Prior to joining the SAAS Staff, Sydney served a dual role as a Learning Specialist/Academic Advisor at the University of Idaho (U of I). At U of I she oversaw the Learning Services Program, taught the College Success Strategies for Student-Athletes course, ran the Summer Bridge Program, and served as an Athletic Advisor for Football. Before her time at U of I, she was the Assistant Director of Learning Services for the University of Virginia (UVA). In this role, she worked as a Learning Specialist and Hiring Manager for UVA's Content Tutoring and Academic Mentoring Program. Sydney earned her master's degree in Higher Education with a concentration in Athletic Administration from UVA. Sydney is an active member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A). Prior to her career in collegiate athletics, Sydney worked in various roles in the K-12 setting, as a classroom teacher and an Intervention Specialist. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Mary's College of California where she majored in Liberal and Civic Studies and minored in Dance. While earning this degree, she danced professionally before going on to earn her Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University. Sydney is a native of Walnut Creek, California. ;
