THE SHEPHERD'S MARKET

The Shepherd's Market is one of only two client-choice food pantries in Baton Rouge, and it is the only client-choice food pantry to offer an evening shift (Mondays). We also provide our clients computer access for job searches and applications in our computer lab. Additionally, we maintain The Shepherd's Garden, where we grow and harvest fresh produce for our clients. These are ways we serve the hungry and feed the soul... The Shepherd's Market is the largest project of Opening Doors, a Louisiana Nonprofit Corporation. Opening Doors is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, and all donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. We operate on the St. John's United Methodist Church campus... The Shepherd's Market is open Mondays from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8-10 a.m. We serve the FIRST 45 families/individuals that come for food - rain or shine. Clients will only be able to shop for groceries once a month.
