Adam Bell

Adam holds a Certificate III in Engineering (Technical) and will complete his Dip Fire Systems Design (current) in 2023. Adam is an experienced senior fire services engineer, who brings expertise in fire sprinkler design, fire detection and alarm systems, fire hydrant and hose reel systems, and portable fire extinguishers. Adam has a diverse portfolio in fire services design, documentation and consulting across major infrastructure projects and complex industrial sites. Originating from Queensland, Adam began his career with a fire services firm directly after high school, where he quickly progressed from a drafting role to a junior engineer position. From there, he sharpened his craft under the instruction of a very adept man who had been in the fire industry for more than 40 years. Adam comes with more than 15 years of in-field experience and heads the Sparks+Partners division dedicated to servicing projects that require detailed input and advice regarding active and passive FPS as the Team Leader of our fire services team. He combines deemed-to-satisfy design with industry best practices and is committed to working in partnership from the start, developing the right solution for you every time. By collaborating closely, we can identify any potential issues concerning fire systems. Adam aligns with fire safety engineers and ensures our systems design supports your brief. This reduces the likelihood of unforeseen costs and gives you access to alternative and innovative design practices.

Bruno Lara-Alvarez

Bruno holds Cert IVs in Eng Drafting - 3D Drafting and Building Construction, Revit and MEP approved and Australian BIM Management Accredited. He brings more than 20 years of in-field experience with a host of diverse projects and clients. Bruno is an intuitive hydraulic designer and skilled drafting manager on hydraulic, mechanical, structural and civil works. Bruno is adept at 3D modelling and applying in-depth BIM systems to engineering design and documentation. He profoundly understands that benefits flow both ways when we stay at the forefront of technological advancements. Under his leadership, Sparks+Partners have made a significant investment in Building Information Modelling (BIM), saving time and money on both sides of the project table - working smarter, not harder. Bruno confidently unleashes the full capabilities of information modelling. Bruno leads the Sparks+Partners BIM-ready and efficient design team. The team's combined design skills bring significant value-added benefits, such as faster project delivery, installation, better, more practical designs, and detailed coordination with other services and teams.

Garey Sparks

Job Titles:

Garey holds a Dip Eng (Hydraulic), is a Licensed Plumber, Gasfitter and Drainer, and a Fellow Member of industry association the HCAA. He is an invaluable asset to the firm with over 30 years of experience as a hydraulic engineer, accruing a rich understanding and broad project knowledge. Garey continues to channel his astounding knowledge and industry expertise to ensure our necessary technical skills are kept up-to-date, implemented and maintained. Garey joined Sparks+Partners Consulting Engineers in 2014, after relinquishing his industry-renowned consulting firm G. J. Sparks & Partners, established in 1989. The dynamic duo of these two firms brought together a seasoned practice in quality engineering and a new generation of innovation, technology and drive. Garey takes pride in instilling a hands-on approach at Sparks+Partners. He allocates only the highest calibre resources to suit our clients' needs. He consistently aims to meet the requirements and challenges of every project, from concept right through to completion.

Josh Frew

Josh holds a Certificate III in Plumbing, a Certificate IV in Plumbing & Services and a Diploma of Hydraulic Services Design. Josh is an active HCAA Full Member. Josh is a senior hydraulic designer with a combination of hands-on and technical engineering experience. He brings a wealth of practical application from his background in plumbing, where he worked primarily in maintenance and roofing. Josh is highly knowledgeable in large-scale urban developments. Josh comes with more than 8-years of in-field experience, and his specialities include: Gas and trade waste Liaison with authorities Hydraulic design workflow optimisation

Leon Dimino

Leon holds a Dip Eng (Hydraulic) and brings more than 15 years of in-field experience. He is an astute project manager with holistic hydraulic engineering skills. An experienced and seasoned senior fire and hydraulic engineer, Leon specialises in designing and building hydraulics, project management and infrastructure assessment, ranging from high-end residential to industrial warehouses.

Morgan Walter

Morgan holds a BE (Civil & Environmental) and a Master of Environmental Engineering Management (MEEM) who delivers civil engineering with an environmental focus. He brings more than 10-year of experience in his field along with a full and accomplished portfolio of project experience. Morgan is an exceptional civil engineer working on single dwelling residential units, industrial, commercial, public sector developments, notably in schools and the public domain, and sub-division works. He dedicates himself to guiding clients through all program stages, from concept to completion. Morgan advocates for building better cities for current and future generations creates a real need for innovative civil engineering ideas and practice. He understands that a sympathetic integration of the environment, infrastructure, and built form is key to creating successful spaces when developing solutions. He manages the Sparks+Partners civil engineering division and a team of talented engineers and draftspeople that enhance our practice overall. Sean Finlay

Sean holds a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying and brings more than ten years of infield experience. He has a natural ability to guide team members and clients through all program design stages, from concept to completion. Coming from a background in building surveying, Sean has a dynamic grasp of 3D modelling and the built environment. Coupled with his keen attention to detail, it makes him the ideal REVIT and BIM lead. Sean develops, maintains, and upholds our internal modelling standards, focusing on critical CAD/REVIT software. Sean is dually responsible for our template standardisation. He considers this vital to every project to maintain Sparks+Partners' renowned reputation of quality. Sean leads and mentors our REVIT technicians and conducts training sessions on new processes and tools to improve drafting capabilities. He is an expert at evolving application strategies and procedures to meet business objectives and keenly reviews and analyses new technologies and tools for future implementation. Sean masterfully coordinates and liaises on projects regarding budgets and workflow. He produces and oversees the design component of projects, including renders, drawings, and documentation.
