I grew up playing sports from soccer to golf and continued up until college. It wasn't until high school where I realized I needed to keep my conditioning up for sports during the summer that I started running any sort of distance. Knowing very little about running/endurance sports, I would run with no real training plan. I saw an increase in conditioning, but if I only knew about training what I know now I would have received far better results. Through college I continued running, but this is when I started to educate myself on endurance training. I started to see an increase in performance and decided to sign up for my longest distance race of 15k at that time. I decided I needed a new challenge during my senior year in college so I signed up for my first triathlon. After that first one I was hooked. I have since completed triathlons from sprints to the full Ironman distance.
