Andrew R. Ben-Ami is an attorney who has practiced for 32 years in the area of taxation. He has specialized in advising tax-exempt organizations, and written articles and spoken at conferences on issues for exempt organizations.

Sharyn N. Lewin, MD, FACS, FACOG, is Founder and Executive Director of The Lewin Fund to Fight Women's Cancers, responsible for the organization's operations, and for setting its strategic vision. She is also the organization's chief ambassador, responsible for advancing The Lewin Fund's mission to invest in grassroots initiatives and research that directly support women who are afflicted with cancer and their families. She is a long-time advocate for women and women's health and brings more than 20 years of medical, research, and community outreach experience to her role.
A board-certified Gynecologic Oncologist, Dr. Lewin specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of ovarian, endometrial, uterine, cervical, vulvar, and vaginal cancers. She serves as Medical Director of the New Jersey-based Holy Name Medical Center's Gynecologic Oncology Division.
Her practice employs a comprehensive, multidisciplinary team approach to screening, treatment, and overall improvement in quality of care for women at high risk for ovarian cancer and other gynecologic malignancies. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Icahn School of Medicine Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
Dr. Lewin's expertise includes radical operations for ovarian cancer, including upper abdominal and extended pelvic resections. She has extensive training in minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures and robotic techniques using the da VinciĀ® Surgical System. She uses intraperitoneal chemotherapy and has research interests in novel chemotherapeutic agents, including immunotherapy and hyperthermic chemotherapy (HIPEC) for recurrent ovarian cance
Most recently, Dr. Lewin was an Assistant Clinical Professor and a member of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University Medical Cancer, New York-Presbyterian Hospital (NYP), and a member of the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. While at NYP, Dr. Lewin was the first Medical Director of the Woman-to-Woman Program, a cancer support initiative.
Dr. Lewin is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency at Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO, followed by a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY.
A national educator on hereditary genetics, cancer survivorship and state-of-the-art treatment for advanced ovarian cancer, Dr. Lewin has authored or co-authored over 100 articles, abstracts, book chapters, and made many presentations at scholarly conferences. She is a recipient of the President's Award from the Society of Gynecologic Oncology and NYP's prestigious Physician of the Year Award. She was honored by Gilda's Club New York City at its 6th Annual Benefit Luncheon.
Dr. Lewin's research interests include novel chemotherapeutic agents for ovarian and endometrial cancers, including HIPEC, and quality-of-life studies. She serves on the prestigious Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) Partners Investigative Council, offering key clinical trials to patients.
Dr. Lewin credits her grandmother, a gynecologist, as the inspiration for her to pursue a career where she can make a difference in women's lives. Dr. Lewin uses data to pinpoint the appropriate medicinal approach but relies on her personal touch to improve her patients' quality of life.

John Newhouse received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Indiana University in 1968. He is presently the Chairman of Gator Trading Partners, LLC. Gator Trading is a proprietary trading firm at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange that focuses on trading metals, grains, and energy products. He was a Director of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange for 16 years. Prior to his financial career, he served in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 until 1972, obtaining the rank of Captain.
Phyllis G. Lewin received her Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis in Counseling from the University of Kansas in 1980. She has over 30 years of experience in counseling. Her expertise includes counseling children and teens with cancer as well as other varied social, emotional, and physical disorders. Awards received include the 1997 Kansas Department of Education Distinguished Educator Award and the 2006 Rotary Educator of the Year for Lawrence, Kansas. She chaired several committees within the Lawrence Public Schools. She served as a board member for the Strategic Learning Center in Lawrence, Kansas.
Scott J. Mermel is a retired information technology and financial professional, having worked most of his career marketing, selling, and implementing business-to-business information technology software
Thomas J. Lewin received his Ph.D. from Northwestern University and served on the faculty at the University of Kansas from 1975 until retiring in 2015. He taught courses in qualitative research, interviewing, business history, and technological innovation in the public and private sectors. An instructional specialty centers on the evolution of multinational corporations, the management of their global technology, and the intricacies of privately-owned multigenerational family businesses.
