TREMBLING PRAIRIE FARMS

I graduated from Purdue University in 1987 armed with a degree in Agriculture Business. With that in hand, I ventured north to Wisconsin in 1989 with the help of my sister, her husband and his father. We then purchased our first farm north of Montello, WI and began growing mint on the muck soils... With the encouragement of Jack Crescio from Randolph, and Larry Alsum of Alsum Farms and Produce, I began growing my first 10 acres of potatoes with old borrowed equipment. With scouting and agronomic advice from Randy Van Haren of Pest Pros we successfully harvested and sold our first potatoes to Alsum Farms and Produce. By now I was hooked on growing vegetables... By the late 1990's we were growing 350 acres of red potatoes. In 1995, we started growing yellow onions on about 5 acres of lands, which has steadily grown to 200 acres today.
