Walter Hall, who lives in Amble on the Northumberland coast took up wood turning as a hobby over 30 years ago when working for the NHS. Now retired and with more time to enjoy woodturning as a hobby he makes high quality pens and other writing instruments from wood and acrylic materials. Walter sells his pens through "The Chantry" Craft Gallery which is located in the Tourist Information Centre in Morpeth, Northumberland and on commission. Walter also enjoys restoring and conserving old hand tools. Examples of Walter's work can be seen in our Gallery pages...
All of Walter's timber supplies are obtained from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) accredited sources or are reclaimed. He has even used teak and mahogany recovered from dismantled sailing boats.
