A skilled and highly inventive carpenter and joiner, Dane has been craft ing and working in wood for over 10 years, having moved here to Jersey at the tender age of 16. But, while Dane's skills would certainly have made Great, Great Grandfather Thomas justifiably proud, his approach and understanding of contemporary techniques and materials, like some of the tools he uses, are cutting edge and absolutely up-to-date. And it's true that Dane is never happier than when faced with solving a seemingly intractable and complex problem, such as creating a storage solution where none seems possible or even, famously, devising and constructing a ‘secret' door...
