Allan Harridine - Chairman

Bruce, quite rightly, takes credit for building a company based not only on his considerable experience in areas including technology, investments and markets but also having built his own home at one point. He's less inclined to recognize those intangible qualities that few people possess but that allow them to turn a vision into a proven, robust and profitable business plan. Allan benefits from the disciplines and demands of a military training, having been a combat engineer in the Royal Engineers from the age of 16. As a master bricklayer, he transferred easily into civilian construction and the craft of laying brick and stone is amply demonstrated in some of the most beautiful work realised on the homes we have built and Allan brings passion and craftsmanship to every project. Being a natural leader Allan progressed into project management and now oversees all of our projects bringing together both his experience as a craftsman and as a Project Manager. Allan cannot leave his passions and energy at work and pursues a galaxy of interests in his spare time including climbing, canoeing, windsurfing and glider flying.

Amanda Hughes - CFO

A self-confessed and enormously experienced "bean counter", Phil nonetheless owns a sharp wit and some very un-bean like talents. From Chartered practice to senior roles in Dyson and the Securicor Group, he went on to lead a management buyout with a specialist telecoms infrastructure company and subsequently achieved 15 th place in the 2004 Sunday Times Profit Track 100 listings. Having achieved a footprint in over 70 countries, the company was successfully sold to an American equity house. In search of new challenges, Phil went on to build upon his success, focusing his talents in the construction and property development markets and has accumulated nearly £60m of completed corporate finance transactions. In his spare time, Phil enjoys shooting and motorsport and used to compete in rally sprints. Medieval history occupies quieter, reflective moments and this creative energy combined with an assiduous accounting brain allows him to take a very holistic approach to the companies he has worked for - bringing those "beans" to life. Amanda began her career in sales in a builders' merchant and went on to become an external sales representative dealing directly with developers. Her knowledge and experience give her a unique insight into what can often be very complex territory; and these along with well-honed negotiating skills allow us to source the very best materials and technologies for our clients. Immersed as she is in the values that inform the company and the demands made by our exacting builders and craftsmen, Amanda is an essential and highly valued member of the team.

Debbie Crowe

Debbie has been part of and Laburnum Associates since 2007. A busy and motivated mum of three, Debbie joined the company after a career break to raise a family. Her initial employment as a part-time book-keeper has expanded and developed to encompass all financial aspects of the Company. Concurrent to her work within the company she has also found time to complete IAB bookkeeping qualifications up to Level 3 Diploma and is currently studying for her AAT Level 4 qualification. On completion she has decided to take a break from accounting qualifications and is contemplating completing her Maths and Computing OU degree as her next challenge!!

James Oldham

James began his career in finance in 1994, mainly as an investment director managing discretionary portfolios for private clients, trusts, charities, companies and pension funds. In recent years, he has broadened his activities to include acting as protector and professional trustee to UK and overseas based trusts, advising company boards, acting as non-executive director to UK based companies and as trustee to UK charities.

Richard has enjoyed 40 years in the central and south-west country real estate market. Through his is passion and integrity, he has developed an extensive network, which he brings to the team. Tim's has 30+ years experience working in UK property market, specialising in the sale of prime residential property in both London and Country. Tim has held senior roles in all of the companies he has worked for which includes larger corporate and SME's including his own agency which sold to Savills in 2006. He has always had a strong influence and keen interest in driving growth through improving the effectiveness and development of key individuals and teams.

For Suzie, her family is the team she nourishes when not focusing her attention on the beautiful homes she has seen delivered to our client families.

Toby Robertson

Toby has 15 years experience as a contracts and construction manager, specialising in the project management of super-prime residential projects in London and the country. His expertise is coordinating the networks of surveyors, architects, builders and master craftsmen required to create a unique country house and ensuring the smooth running of a build from conception to completion.

William has over 23 years' experience working in the residential property market. He has bought and sold country houses for clients at all levels working in the Cotswolds and parts of the home counties. William set up his own property search agency advising clients in prime central London. He brings a lot of experience to the team focusing on finding suitable sites, exploring planning opportunities and advising clients on the best strategy for purchase.
