I had a high-pressure career, a life full of stress and schedules. It wasn't a happy or healthy life. I was missing out on seeing my daughter. My marriage ended. I didn't ever have time to be ill... While I escaped relatively unharmed physically, I suffered severe post- traumatic stress disorder. My mind literally would not let my body function properly. I had to stop working. I battled to leave my bed... I began seeing a therapist, something I'd previously scoffed at. But I was amazed at the effect it had. It lit a passion in me. I knew that this was what I had to do.
