Austin E. Moe

Austin joined NCMA in January 2021 as a neuropsychological technician. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Florida Gulf Coast University and has an extreme curiosity in the field of neurocognitive science. He believes that advances in the field are of great benefit to mankind. Austin is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the University of New Haven. He plans to use his knowledge of workplace social behavior to strengthen the bond between employer and employee and ultimately improve the workplace experience.

Becky Robinson

Becky has been with NCMA since 2014. Becky came with an associates degree in medical science and a background as a medical assistant, providing administrative support in a medical practice, and working in bookkeeping. She provides all aspects of administrative support to the practice and manages referrals.

Corin started with our NCMA Dover office in 2023 as administrative support staff. Her background includes being a front office coordinator at a mental health office and law enforcement. During her time in law enforcement, she became certified with the Crisis Intervention Team.

Dr. Abigail Ryan

Dr. Eli Dapolonia

Dr. Dapolonia grew up in Portland, Oregon. He graduated from Portland State University with a B.S. in Psychology in 2013. He completed an M.A. in counseling psychology in 2015, and an M.S. in clinical psychology in 2018, both at Pacific University. He completed his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Pacific University in August of 2021. He began focusing on neuropsychology as an area of specialization in 2017 at Kaiser Permanente NW. Specialization included coursework in neuroanatomy and neuropathology as well as multiple practica and work experiences with an emphasis on neuropsychology, including work in Sports Medicine at Oregon Health & Sciences University doing presurgical epilepsy and concussion evaluations. He completed a neuropsychology pre-doctoral internship at the University of Missouri / Truman VA Consortium in 2020. In addition to neuropsychology, Dr. Dapolonia has extensive training in evidence-based therapy tools including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and cognitive compensatory skills training. Dr. Dapolonia offers clinical and neuropsychological evaluations, concussion management, cognitive skills training, cognitive wellness screening, and evidence based therapy.

Dr. Katherine Baum

Dr. Kathy Baum is a neuropsychologist who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to NCMA. Dr. Baum's expertise extends to providing neuropsychological evaluations for adolescents, adults, and older adults, with additional proficiency in conducting forensic evaluations and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA, HIMS certified) evaluations. She has a passion for enhancing cognitive health and providing personalized and evidence-based neuropsychological and psychological care. Dr. Baum earned her B.S. in Psychology from Plymouth State College, an M.Ed. in Counselor Training from the University of Massachusetts at Boston, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. Dr. Kathy Baum completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Miami Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she developed an interest in testing and neuropsychological evaluations. Dr. Baum further honed her skills through a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center, with placement at the Miami Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged. Dr. Baum's extensive career includes roles as a neuropsychologist at Comprehensive MedPsych Systems (CMPS) in Sarasota, Florida, co-ownership of a group practice, and the establishment of a private neuropsychology practice in Bennington, Vermont. She returned to Florida for the position of clinical director and later director of testing and neuropsychology with Refresh Mental Health. Board certified with the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology (ABN) and currently serving on the ABN Board of Directors, Dr. Baum is an active member of organizations such as the American Psychological Association, the National Academy of Neuropsychology, and the Maine Psychological Association.

Dr. Kendra L. Bryant

Dr. Bryant grew up in Camden, Maine. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wellesley College with a B.A. in psychology and philosophy in 1988. She worked for several years in community mental health before returning to school. She completed a master's degree in psychology from Boston College in 1993 and a doctoral degree from the Bouve College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Northeastern University in 1999. She began focusing on neuropsychology as an area of specialization in 1994 at Westborough State Hospital in Massachusetts. Specialization included coursework in neuroanatomy and neuropathology as well as multiple internships and work experiences with an emphasis on neuropsychology. After completing a predoctoral internship at the Togus VA Medical Center in 1999, with a specialization in neuropsychology, Dr. Bryant completed post-doctoral training at the Augusta Mental Health Institute, with a focus on neuropsychology. In December of 2000, she established a private practice in neuropsychology in Rockland, Maine. She established Neuropsychology and Concussion Management Associates in early 2013, and the group moved to Rockport, Maine in the spring of 2013. She is board certified in clinical neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology and, as such, is a member of the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology. Dr. Bryant is a past president of the Maine Psychological Association and has served as chair of the Neuropsychology Committee of that organization. She served on the Executive Committee of the Maine Concussion Management Initiative (MCMI) and was active in helping to establish concussion management programs in area schools.

Dr. Rebecca Stetson Werner

Dr. Rebecca Stetson Werner earned her B.A. in Psychology and English from Amherst College and her doctoral degree in Clinical Developmental Psychology from Bryn Mawr College. She completed her pre- and postdoctoral clinical training at the Yale Child Study Center in New Haven with specialized training in the psychological assessment and clinical treatment of young and school aged children, adolescents, and families. She then completed an NIMH-funded postdoctoral research fellowship at the Child Study Center investigating the social development and understanding of young children. She also worked with the Center's Young Child Team, providing developmental evaluations and clinical intervention for families with infants through their early school years. Dr. Stetson Werner's training and experience also focused upon the assessment of academic and learning-based capacities and behaviors from the early school through post-secondary education years. She is trained in family systems and psychodynamically-informed play therapy as well as parenting support and intervention. At NCMA, she works with individuals across the lifespan with an emphasis on the assessment of young children, school-aged children and adolescents, and emerging adults providing psychological, developmental, and psycho-educational evaluations. Her training continues to inform a developmental and systems-based perspective and focus upon processes that support typical pathways of growth and resilience and where areas of vulnerability can emerge. Her evaluations are oriented toward increasing understanding of each individual's strengths and weaknesses across a broad range of areas of functioning, including social relationships and capacities, emotional and behavioral regulation, education and learning-based skills, attention and executive functioning, and adaptive and emotional functioning, including neurodevelopmental and significant psychiatric concerns. She works collaboratively with parents and guardians, teachers, and other providers as a part of the evaluation process. Dr. Stetson Werner lives in Portland with her family and enjoys hiking, cross country skiing, and exploring Maine with them.

Jamie Evans

Jamie earned a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience & Behavior from the University of New Hampshire and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University. Her graduate training included utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. At NCMA, Jamie works with individuals who are interested in short-term therapy to overcome mental health struggles, conducts long term therapy for clients with deeper rooted needs, helps patients and families to integrate and implement recommendations from neuropsychological evaluations, and provides neurocognitive rehabilitation for clients with cognitive disorders. Jamie co-leads social skills groups for adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated disorders. She also provides Executive Function Coaching to help people improve their abilities to focus, organize, plan, manage tasks, and solve problems in their daily lives through a semi-structured, collaborative, and individualized approach. Jamie has extensive experience as a neuropsychometrist (neuropsychological testing technician), working with individuals across the lifespan. This exposed her to a variety of clinical diagnoses such as neurodevelopmental disorders, neurocognitive issues, substance use, and mood disorders. She also has worked on the administrative side of neuropsychological practice, training neuropsychometrists, developing operational systems, triaging patients for evaluation, and assisting in the creation of targeted clinics for the evaluation of ADHD, ASD, and Mood Disorders. Jamie strives to create a warm and welcoming environment for clients to begin their therapeutic journey. She uses a holistic approach to deeply understand all aspects of an individual and how those different facets interconnect with the client's goals. Jamie is pursuing independent licensure as a LCMHC (Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor) and toward that end, is supervised by Lynn M. Kegley, LICSW. Dr. Rachel Orr also provides supervision for Jamie related to clients who have neurologic or cognitive concerns.

Jo Werther

Jo Werther graduated from Colby College with Distinction in the Major of Philosophy and earned her master's degree from the University of New England School of Social Work. She has practiced clinical social work within inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment programs, student counseling centers, hospice care, and private practice. One of the first clinicians intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in Maine, Jo has served as DBT consultant, trainer, and clinical supervisor for DBT programs and clinicians. Jo specializes in a mindfulness-based approach to helping clients optimize their emotional functioning so they feel better in mind, body, and spirit. The better a person feels, the better able they are to confidently address and resolve stress. The less stress they feel, the more clarity, motivation, and energy they have to make desired changes in their life. Jo also provides mindfulness-based Executive Function Coaching to clients wanting to improve their ability to focus, plan, prioritize, and increase their productivity (academic, professional, personal). With nearly three decades of experience in thoughtful conversation, Jo has a gift for connecting with others and putting them at ease. She works collaboratively with clients to help them clarify their goals, identify obstacles, and co-create their path forward with compassion, optimism, and warmth. With Jo's support and guidance, clients learn to implement simple skills and practices to help them master whatever challenges come their way. Jo's recipe for restoring and maintaining emotional well-being in her own life includes making music, skiing, kayaking, dancing, and chatting with good friends around cozy campfires.

Judy Rokous

Judy Rokous is a neuropsychometrist and executive function skills coach who brings a wealth of experience and unique insight to NCMA. She specializes in identifying and leveraging areas of strength to target weaknesses, positively impacting academic achievement and work performance as well as maintaining healthy habits and relationships. She earned her BA in Biological Basis of Behavior at the University of Pennsylvania and her masters in toxicology from the University of Maryland. She began her career in education, gaining experience working directly with students struggling with executive function challenges. By developing customized strategies for students, she was able to help them target and meet goals despite challenges with organization, time management, task initiation, and goal-directed persistence. Judy draws on her decades of unique insight and expertise to coach her clients to success. By individually tailoring a program for her clients, she teaches them how to implement systems and practice habits around self-management. With her guidance, they work towards the goals they are striving to achieve, ultimately becoming more productive, effective, and confident in their lives. Judy has developed her practices of executive functioning skills through research-based training such as the PESI Executive Function Mastery Course on evidence-based strategies to improve attention, memory, and self-regulation, Executive Skills Coach Training with Peg Dawson, and Columbia University Department of Psychiatry's course on executive functioning training and motivation. Previous education-based opportunities have also been advantageous to her current work. For example, Judy attended the Angela Duckworth Educators Summit and Harvard's Learning and the Brain Institute Conference which complement how she integrates executive functioning within learning and academics. Drawn to the natural beauty of Maine and the many outdoor opportunities it offers, Judy and husband Chris moved their family to Camden in 2016. She joined NCMA in 2022.

Lauren Kupferschmid

Lauren earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York and her Master of Science in Developmental Psychopathology at Durham University in Durham, England, UK. She joined the NCMA team as a Neuropsychometrist and also provides Executive Function Coaching to help people improve their abilities to focus, organize, plan, manage tasks, and solve problems in their daily lives through a semi-structured, collaborative, and individualized approach. She has experience working with psychiatric patients of all ages and is passionate about helping individuals with mental health issues and beyond.
