The Decksperts, Todd and Randen Kroes, have been building decks since they were able to swing a hammer. Their father, David Kroes, the original Deckspert, had the idea of moving away from general construction and focusing on creating outdoor living spaces for families and individuals. As soon as the school year was over, the Deckspert brothers would join their father in the family business. This continued until David passed away in 2001. Up to this point Todd and Randen's father had instilled in them a joy and passion for building and taking care of people, so they decided to maintain the family trade. While they continue their careers in education, Todd and Randen have built decks seasonally together and plan to do so for years to come.
