The magazine was established in 1997 by British tyre industry journalist and publisher, David Wilson. At the time of the magazine's launch David already had over 10 years experience in the tyre publishing sector, having previously worked as editor for both the UK's leading tyre industry journals. During this period he had identified the potential for a specific trade magazine for the retreading industry worldwide, having noticed that the various national tyre industry magazines across Europe, were too wide in their editorial scope for retreaders and too narrow in their circulation, given the increasingly global nature of the retreading industry....
